Not only was Justin Trudeau attached at the hip with China but so is Carney, and one could say some Ministers that Carney has kept. Why in the world would Canadians want a Prime Minister who (i) undermined the UK, as the Governor of the Bank of England, by “facilitate[ing] the Bank of China’s global expansion. In a 2013 speech, Carney announced that the Bank of England had signed an agreement with the People’s Bank of China to support the internationalization of the Renminbi, describing it as a global good.”[1]
This, in connection with his defence of Liberal MP Paul Chiang regarding his statement, announcing, that people should seek out the bounty on his Conservative counter-part, MP Joe Tay, in January.
Of course there is far more to this. Not only has Carney been affiliated with the “big boys” in China, to the detriment of the little people (us), but, like Justin, now there are questions regarding Carney’s affiliation with China’s United Front, “which the CIA identifies as a key “United Front” entity of Beijing.”[2]
“Carney has placed his assets in a blind trust to avoid conflicts of interest, but questions remain about his full separation from Brookfield. …
The Centre for International Corporate Tax Accountability and Research (CICTAR) reported that Brookfield’s offshore structuring enabled it to avoid an estimated $6.5 billion in taxes in 2021. This practice, while legal, has significant negative impacts on public funding for essential services. Brookfield has faced criticism for using offshore tax havens and various loopholes, particularly in its properties in London and Manhattan West. The Paradise Papers leak in 2017 revealed numerous Brookfield-linked entities registered through the Appleby law firm, with many entities incorporated in tax havens such as Bermuda and the Cayman Islands.
With Canada’s economic future increasingly entangled in global trade conflicts, Carney’s complex financial entanglements could have lasting consequences for Canadian citizens. As Mark Carney takes office, scrutiny of his financial dealings and Brookfield’s deep ties to China and offshore banking is expected to increase.
The Global Times, a vocal outlet for the Chinese Communist Party, signaled Beijing’s approval of Carney as the 24th Prime Minister of Canada. Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesperson Mao Ning congratulated Carney and expressed hope that Canada will maintain an objective understanding of China and work pragmatically to improve bilateral relations.”[3]
And yet it doesn’t stop with Carney. One needs to look at the Ministers appointed by Justin Trudeau, all of whom seem to have remained, under the Carney rule as PM.
We most certainly cannot forget the then Environment Minister Steven Guilbeault. Now he’s supposed to be the Minister of Canadian Culture and Identity, Parks Canada and Quebec Lieutenant. But we all must remember this is the Minister who said “no new roads to be built,” that certain natural resources must remain in the ground, and no one can forget “Guilbeault spoke about the need to mobilize private international climate capital on Wednesday in Brussels, where he announced that Ottawa is allocating $450 million to the world's largest climate fund — the Green Climate Fund — increasing its previous pledge in 2019 by 50 per cent.”[4]
“Guilbeault meets Thursday with his ministerial counterparts from China and the European Union in Brussels for the Ministerial Meeting on Climate Action (MoCA).
These talks are focused on implementing the Paris Agreement. They're also meant to help wealthier countries iron out their concerns ahead of the UN's upcoming COP 28 climate conference in Dubai.
Guilbeault said one of the outcomes of November's COP28 should be a "firm commitment" to getting financial institutions like the World Bank and the International Monetary Fund to address the existential threat of climate change while preventing millions from slipping into poverty.”[5]
As we know our then Climate Minister,[6] at the federal level, has been thought to be just a little on the extremist side. With him receiving his marching orders from the “Climate Action Network, Canadian Centre for Policy Alternatives,”[7] etc., or is he receiving his orders from China?
So, Canada, to satisfy the radical extremists have decided to put Canadians further and further in debt for climate action plans that aren’t even Canadian. When one thinks that it is China that is driving this, merely to support China’s economy and its, purported, China Solution, one can really see the connection, can’t one. Not to mention it took the U.S. and NATO to embarrass Canada to even try and put a plan together to make it look like we will meet our 2% of NATO spending.
In 2013, Prime Minister Trudeau was chastised for his “… level of admiration I [he] actually has for China because their basic dictatorship is allowing them to actually turn their economy around on a dime and say, ‘We need to go green … we need to start investing in solar.’”[8]
And in his ambition, perhaps, attempted to satisfy the China Solution. This may explain why the Federal Environment Minister, Steven Guilbeault, “attended the China Council for International Cooperation on Environment and Development (CCICED).”[9]
As we understand China’s ambition to “prevail in the fast-growing and lucrative “clean products” markets,“[10] through the integration of the Belt and Road Initiative priorities, it seems to be the end game for China. Could it be that they are unaware that it was China that was involved in the Paris Agreement?
Mark Carney, China and the Liberals not just Justin – look at the Liberal MPs.
