Message to Marauding Cancel Culture: MICKEY MOUSE FOREVER!

Iconic Walt Disney creation Mickey Mouse is out on the lam, or should be now that Peter Pan, Dumbo, cartoon skunk Pepé Le Pew, accused of adding to “rape culture” and other children’s cartoon characters have been nixed by Disney, Looney Tunes and Merrie Melodies because of their supposed “racist” stereotypes. Who can stop the unbridled Cancel Culture from coming for childhood’s beloved Mickey Mouse next? And after Mickey, maybe Donald Duck. Who knows? Staged fake photos of Mickey Mouse once turned up in the rubble of war-torn Beirut courtesy of the mainstream media back in 2006: “Surely Reuters and AP photographers, who wanted to push the envelope for Hezbollah terrorists, could have been more sophisticated than to leave Mickey Mouse dolls, face-down and face-up in the rubble of Beirut. (Canada Free Press, August 14, 2006). “They’ve been to "J School", after all.”

‘Faux-To-Graphs’

Fifteen years ago, CFP labelled these staged photos with a term of which even Mickey would approve: ‘Faux-To-Graphs’.

Having seen the photo of Mickey lying face- up on the ground by Reuter's Sharif Karim, a commenter known only as Richard posted: "Oh, my God! They've killed Mickey! Those bastards!” We were happy to say back then and now that Mickey Mouse survived the photo propaganda when photographers of the mainstream media were cringingly caught in the act. Unfortunately, the creators of Faux-To-Graphs may have proven to the world that they belong in the same place that Mickey does: in the nursery. Meanwhile, not all hoping that genius Walt Disney’s creation escapes the dreaded Cancel Culture are children. Countless adults who grew up watching Mickey Mouse and count on him being there for their children and grandchildren are now shouting out to the Cancel Culture: “Enough is enough!” Viva Mickey Mouse, Donald Duck and their imaginary spouses Mini and Daisy. May their antics delight the small fry without political interruption forever.
