The local Tk’emlups te Secwepemc Aboriginals have made no attempt to exhume any graves
This in spite of receiving $12.1 million from taxpayers expressly to conduct an excavation to get to the truth. Now the Department of Crown-Indigenous Relations has waived a requirement that the Kamloops Aboriginals account for what became of $12.1 million in funding for “exhumation of remains” at an Indian Residential School.
