Putting on Our Game Faces PART II

Something to keep in mind – a lower level of consciousness does not conflate with a lower level of intelligence.  One can be very intelligent while simultaneously living out of a low state of consciousness.  In point of fact, many people, historical figures, famous figures, influential figures, have intelligently manipulated their low state of consciousness-thinking to harmful effect.  Some of these low consciousness "movers and shakers,” and "great intellects” have done humanity a great deal of harm. At the risk of grossly misusing Dr. Hawkins's MOC, let me say that it is my belief that it graphically shows us the gulf that separates the political left from the political right.  In a nutshell, below the level of Courage (personal responsibility) we find the Left – professional grievance mongers and victims.  At the level of Courage and above we find the Right – taking personal responsibility to heart, and possessing a greater potential for spiritual evolution, higher states of consciousness. (Short aside: It is worth keeping in mind that without awareness, without consciousness itself, we would not (could not) be aware that we even had thoughts.  So, au contraire mon frere Descartes – cogito, ergo sum this: I am conscious that I am thinking, therefore I am.  It is way past time for the foundational importance of consciousness be recognized, studied, and honored.) Those readers who may have been having an episode of "spiritual narcolepsy” need to snap out of it.  We are about to reenter the mundane insanity of politics again.  God help us. First, let me close out the forgoing with a quasi-spiritual observation.  I know that many of my readers consider themselves to be Christians, and Jesus irrefutably championed love – and yet I, a follower of Jesus, am suggesting that it may be time to lock ‘n' load and prepare to put on our game face.  How do I reconcile those two seemingly opposing positions? Welcome to the wonderful, wacky world of spirituality, where seeming opposites often turn out to be one and the same thing.  It's not that "up” is "down, exactly.  It's more that "up” goes-with "down” – they are inseparable; can't have one without the other.  Hot-cold, in-out, heads-tails, same-same.  It's Spirituality 101 really – everything is inextricably united, everything is one.  The "butterfly effect” to the nth degree. …Before I lead us willy-nilly into an especially misguided discussion of quantum physics, let me take myself sternly in hand and return to where I left off. It's not that I consider love and aggression to be incompatible.  One can be quite aggressive and loving at the same time.  We can love our family, friends, neighbors, ourselves and our environment (country) – and at the same time act aggressively to protect and defend that which is near and dear to us. I don't consider acting as a toss-away rug mat for violent idiots to abuse, to be in any way a sane, loving attitude to cultivate.  Quite the opposite in fact.  Sometimes a 2x4 upside the head might be just the thing called for.

Lincoln long ago wisely noted that "A house divided against itself, cannot stand.”  Yes, well, and a mind divided against itself is not something to have strong faith in either.  Which is to say that if you have doubts in your own mind where you stand, and how you plan on standing "come the revolution,” now might be a good time to clear away those doubts.   Fish-or-cut-bait time is fast approaching.  Those who plan on sitting on the sidelines, or who dither around with their thumb up their butt risk becoming unfortunate regrettable "collateral damage.”  As I say, it behooves us to be prepared to don our game faces quickly – and that takes commitment, grit, and focus.     Our Congress critters are to a great extent money-hungry, power-hungry grifters.  Political parasites who feed off the taxpayer's dime and repay us with insincere platitudes, vapid bromides, and empty promises.  There are exceptions, of course, but by and large the "leaders” in Congress are feckless a—holes who clamor for our applause while they pick our pockets.  They've got a sweet deal going and they know it.  It's one of the main reasons that they (mostly Democrats, but a number of RINOs as well) detest Trump.   Yep, we have too many "Republican” bad apples in Congress, but the Democrats…good God the Democrats!  They are certifiably nuts.  And so is anyone who votes for a Democrat, any Democrat.  Well, if they're not crazy then they are d—n sure confused, misguided, and lacking a solid moral compass.

The rank-and-file Democrats are as much to blame for the toxic political climate as the news media or party leadership.  They are the people banging on the doors of the Supreme Court, forcing their kids to attend Black Lives Matters marches, and posting Adam Schiff's latest absurd conspiracy theory on their Facebook pages.  Trump-hating Democrats are like junkies; they need a daily fix from the Washington Post and Rachel Maddow just to get through the day.  The whole of the Democratic Party should be in a rubber room not anywhere near the levers of power.  The only cure for what ails the Democratic Party is for voters to turn them out of office so they get the nice long rehab they need.  As Trump said Thursday about the opposition party, "There was a certain sense of sanity 4 years ago.  These people are insane.” He is correct.'

Julie Kelly "The only cure for what ails the Democrats is for voters to turn them out of office so they get the nice long rehab they need” Thomas Sowell has noted that "It is usually futile to try to talk facts and analysis to people who are enjoying a sense of moral superiority in their ignorance.”  Yes indeed, anyone who has tried to have a reasonable debate with a brainwashed liberal knows well the futility of such a wasted effort.  They largely base their "arguments” on feel-good puerile slogans, sophomoric memes, lazy logic, and misinformed observations.  If logic defeats their stance then logic gets perverted, if science gets in their way then science gets warped…whatever it is, the ends justify the means, or so they tell us ad nauseum.  And to top it off they are generally atheistic narcissists (regardless of any purported religious attachment) who, being without a Creator must of necessity live a life devoid of purpose, meaning, and direction.  No wonder they're crazy!  I can feel some, a little, compassion for the brainwashed useful idiots who are used and then thrown away like so much trash by the Machiavellian machinations of the far left.  But the puppet masters who use and abuse them are something else altogether.  They know full well what they are about.  They know that the utopian fantasy of one harmonious global big family is a lie – and they couldn't care less.   They're not in it for some delusional Fata Morgana.  These puppet masters believe that they are realists, they live in the real world, where money and power are the end all and be all of existence.  They live their empty, tunnel-visioned lives feeding themselves on ego-inflating fantasies of pomp and power.  But once the party's over, once reality beyond the parameters of their oh so temporary kingdom is exposed for the house of cards it truly is, once death comes calling and insists on removing all that is temporal and temporary, all that is vacuous and ephemeral…what then?
