Stinking Fish Always Tell The Tale, Whether It’s Business Sabotage Or Dirty Politics

Stinking Fish Always Tell The Tale, Whether It’s Business Sabotage Or Dirty Politics Bottom liner columnist Joan Swirsky was right on target when she referred to the “stinking fish factor” clinging to fired former FBI Director James Comey. And she didn’t wait until all the players in the Russians-stole-the-election conspiracy were at each other’s throats to point the “stinking fish factor” out to readers. This is the author’s note with which Ms. Swirsky prefaced her rejuvenated her 2016 Canada Free Press (CFP) column:
“I don’t consider myself at all prescient, but I certainly had James Comey’s number when I wrote the following article nearly two years ago, before the presidential election that he (and his far-left wife and children) thought Hillary would win. Now he is scrambling around, touting a book that was written for him, rationalizing his egregious (and possibly illegal) acts as former FBI Director, pouting like a schoolgirl, hurling epithets at the President of the United States who fired him, and demonstrating for all the world to see his self-aggrandizing, phony-baloney, preeningly narcissist nature. While he is no longer the big fish in the FBI, it remains clear that the systemic corruption and collusion and criminality that emanates from that once-august organization (some of whose agents still do a superb job) is a function of the stench that emanated from Mr. Comey himself.—Joan Swirsky.)”
Nothing assails the nostrils and and fouls the air quite as much as rotting fish, as I once discovered when lib-left operatives were trying to drive a local businessman who ran a fertilizer/pelletization and soil reclamation business down in Toronto port-lands was roundly accused of stinking up he place. Owners of nearby businesses registered multiple “official” complaints to Toronto city officials about the terrible stench emanating from the accused business. One of their biggest complaints to the city was that the pervasive odor would “likely” keep Whoopi Goldberg from making future movies in Toronto. A cursory drive through the afflicted neighborhood proved that ‘someone’ had planted rotting fish in all of the trash cans surrounding the businessman’s operation. during hot summer days. This ended in a Toronto Free Press (forerunner to CFP) story headlined: ‘Why Councillor Jack Layton Stinks’. Stinking fish always tell the tale, whether it’s business sabotage or dirty politics. James Comey, who rejuvenated a debunked scandal with former MI6 sleuth Christopher Steele’s “Dirty Dossier” in a newly-launched book—knowing full well that Hillary Clinton paid for the dirty dossier— is leaving a malodorous stench on his nation’s prime intelligence agency, the FBI.

Here’s the latest in the ongoing Comey saga: “…15 pages of documents contain new details about a series of interactions with Trump that Comey found so unnerving that he chose to document them in writing. Those seven encounters in the weeks and months before Comey’s May 2017 firing include a Trump Tower discussion about allegations involving Trump and prostitutes in Moscow; a White House dinner at which Comey says Trump asked him for his loyalty; and a private Oval Office discussion where the ex-FBI head says the president asked him to end an investigation into Michael Flynn, the former White House national security adviser. (CTV News, April 20, 2018)
“The documents had been eagerly anticipated since their existence was first revealed last year, especially since Comey’s interactions with Trump are a critical part of special counsel Robert Mueller’s investigation into whether the president sought to obstruct justice. Late Thursday night, Trump tweeted that the memos “show clearly that there was NO COLLUSION and NO OBSTRUCTION.” “The president also accused Comey of leaking classified information. The memos obtained by the AP were unclassified, though some portions were blacked out as classified. Details from Comey’s memos reported in news stories last year appear to come from the unclassified portions. “In explaining the purpose of creating the memos, which have been provided to Mueller, Comey has said he “knew there might come a day when I would need a record of what had happened” to defend not only himself but the FBI as well.

Many would complain that Comey is not defending the FBI but only defaming it. A glaring difference about how Comey’s kid-glove treatment and that of the FBI raid on Michael Cohen, as pointed out by Kevin W. on Twitter yesterday: Meanwhile, while the cunning players in the Russian Conspiracy Act are now going after each other’s throats, Comey will never get away with his part in the fiasco of the No There There saga. The smell of rotting fish ALWAYS leads directly to the perp.
