Study Shows Companies Selling Dangerous Abortion Pills to Kill Babies Up to Birth

With the release of a new Senate study on the dangerous practices of abortion drug manufacturers, Susan B. Anthony Pro-Life America is calling on the Department of Justice to end the mail-order of mifepristone by settling Louisiana v. FDA.

U.S. Senate Health, Education, Labor and Pensions (HELP) Committee Chairman Bill Cassidy, joined by Sens. Steve Daines, Cindy Hyde-Smith, James Lankford, and the late Sen. Lindsey Graham launched an investigation into the three abortion drug manufacturers Danco Corporation, GenBioPro and Evita Solutions—a company that began selling abortion drugs last week after receiving approval from the FDA under then-Commissioner Marty Makary.

The report found that even the minimal remaining Risk Evaluation and Mitigation Strategies (REMS) are not being upheld by these manufacturers, especially in online situations. Question 1 in Virginia Would Legalize Unlimited Abortions Up to Birth

Virginia voters will decide in November whether to write a abortions up to birth into the state constitution. Ballot Question 1 would allow unlimited abortions until a baby is born.

Early in-person voting begins Friday, September 18. A simple majority would adopt or reject the amendment and the result would not return to the General Assembly or the governor.

Olivia Gans Turner, director of the Virginia Society for Human Life, said the proposal is not the modest health-care measure described on the ballot.

“The hard truth is that this amendment is not about protecting women’s safe reproductive care, but merely more political action designed to make abortion up to birth permanently legal in Virginia,” she says. ---More...

Abortion Pills are Killing and Hurting Women, New Report Confirms

Sen. Bill Cassidy, R-La., released a new report Wednesday claiming federal regulators and abortion pill manufacturers are putting mothers at risk. The months-long investigation found that there is a lack of oversight and significant gaps in patient safety protections and calls on the Food and Drug Administration to act.

The report, obtained by the Daily Signal, was led by Dr. Cassidy, chairman of the U.S. Senate Health, Education, Labor, and Pensions Committee. It details the business practices of three major abortion pill companies, their lack of medical oversight, improper telemedicine prescriptions, lack of transparency, and underreported complications of the drug. ---More...

Activist Admits No Maternal Mortality Increase or OBGYN Shortage After Abortion Bans

In a Wednesday editorial that appeared on StatNews, Dr. David Hackney, a professor of reproductive biology at Case Western Reserve University candidly admits that many post-Dobbs predictions made by supporters of legal abortion have not come to fruition.

Dr. Hackney is not a disinterested observer. He is a very vocal supporter of abortion rights. In 2022 he testified against the Ohio Heartbeat Act, and in 2023 he supported Ohio’s Issue 1 which placed legal abortion in Ohio’s state constitution. In 2019, Dr. Hackney also wrote an editorial for the Columbus Dispatch in favor of legal abortion.

In his StatNews editorial Hackney clearly states “many of the worst predictions have not come to pass.” He goes on to say that “a net increase in maternal morality has not been clearly identified.” He is correct. Multiple analyses of maternal mortality rate trends find no statistically significant difference between pro-life states and states with permissive abortion policies. Hackney also agrees that relatively few practicing OBGYNs have left states with strong pro-life laws, saying, “The nationwide exodus that was feared has not occurred.” ---More...

Doctors Push “Death by Organ Donation” to Kill People for Their Organs

The legalization of assisted suicide/euthanasia corrupts medical ethics and not just because killing patients or assisting their suicides is a direct violation of the Hippocratic oath. No: Transforming sick and disabled people into a killable caste also objectifies them as potential natural resources to be mined or harvested.

Hastened death and organ-harvesting have already been conjoined in Canada, Australia, New Zealand, Spain, the Netherlands, and Belgium. (In the latter two countries, some cases have involved mentally ill patients.) The practice has been supported in prominent medical journals. It is not alarmism to note that the idea is gaining ever wider acceptance among the medical and bioethics intelligentsia.

But killing and then harvesting doesn’t go far enough for some mainstream bioethicists. Where euthanasia is legal, they don’t see why organ procurement can’t also be the means of death for patients who want to donate. In other words, don’t just kill and then harvest; harvest to kill. ---More...
