The Blame Game

The precedent being set at the highest levels of government

Some of us in the United States are trying to instill in our families the values of truth, integrity, responsibility, and compassion.

It has become increasingly difficult because of the lack of proper role models. Examples abound: Front and center for the lack of personal responsibly is President Obama, who daily blames someone or everyone for his failure to govern. He has blamed President George Bush; Super Storm Sandy; gun owners; the Tea Party, and Republicans for every bad statistic or government stalemate. While all our problems should not fall on his shoulders, some are due to his reluctance to roll up his sleeves, check his ego at the door, and get to work. He speaks eloquently to large crowds, but avoids face-to-face showdowns. This is a man who can sell snowballs to Eskimos but doesn't have the skills to work out complex issues with his equals. This is the example he sets for our country; one where nothing is his fault. And, worse, he gets away with it. So next time your children play the BLAME GAME, just remember - that's the precedent being set at the highest levels of government, and it is one approved by the voters.
