We’re Mad As Hell - Now Let’s Band Together

Every Red-blooded American must see this video. As Mel Brooks said, “It’s good to be the king.” Congressional salaries increased by 80% between 2000 and 2009, from $141,000 to $174,000. American worker’s salaries, meanwhile, have risen approximately 1.5% per annum, from $32,165 to $36,225. That equates to a 12% increase. CEO salaries have skyrocketed to values representing more than 350 times the average employee, or $12 million apiece. In other words, the average CEO needs only work a bit over 6 hours to earn the equivalent of the average, salaried employee.

If you saw the feigned criticism by Congressional committee members recently, you were watching the biggest demonstration of b…s… by the most patronizing scumbags ever assembled in one room. Are you aware that those noble elitists who condemned AIG for giving retention bonuses to employees, also gave retention bonuses to their very own staff? You do the division. Here it is: 200 members of the House of Representatives, including Mr. B.S. (that’s big shot) Barney Frank, disbursed $9.1 million among 2,000 staffers. Their excuse was, a nice incentive to get staff to conserve budgets, and for hard work and long hours. ARE THEY KIDDING or is it that they know we’re just too stupid to realize their double-speak? More than 100 of those recipient staffers already had annual incomes of $100,000. The annual budget for each member of the House runs between $1.3 and $1.9 million. At the end of the year, whatever money is left in the coffers is distributed between staff because, if it isn’t, next year’s budget will be reduced by the amount of unused monies. God forbid that that should ever happen. Oh, yeah, America, those bonuses are doled out of taxpayer cash - yours! So, America, how’s apathy working for you. Either you enjoy your meager wages or you’re just too lazy to get off your sofa to vote these bums out of office. Yeah, I’m being harsh and probably politically incorrect, but if you’re not personally MAD AS HELL, then keep on keeping on. As for me, I’ll be back on the street corners again as often as my back permits. I intend to do all I can before I fade away into that dark night. My kids and grandkids deserve more than what the socialist/radicals in the government and academia think they’re worth. I won’t ask you to join me in my fight. It’s your conscience. It’s way past time to fire Pelosi, Reid, Frank, Dodd, Feinstein, Waters, Specter, Murtha, Murray, Cantwell, McMorris (yeah, she’s also getting her feet wet with bonuses and pork), and the rest of the bums who can’t run an ice cream stand, let alone a whole country.
