Why is a Massive Wall Being built at the Los Angeles VA and Not at Our Southern Border?

Why is a Massive Wall Being built at the Los Angeles VA and Not at Our Southern Border?Fellow Veterans and Friends of Veterans Why is this massive wall being built at the Los Angeles VA and not at our southern border? For more than three years, President Trump has been calling for a southern border wall to stop the influx of illegal immigrants into the USA.

Los Angeles is still the capital for homeless Veterans

For more than three years, Congress has refused to fund any money or build any semblance of a wall to deter illegal aliens crossing into the USA. And in full support of this Congressional defiance, City of Los Angeles Mayor Eric Garcetti and the L.A. City Council voted unanimously to declare L.A. to be a “sanctuary city” in order to protect potentially criminal illegal aliens. In 2014, Eric Garcetti promised then First Lady Michelle Obama that he would personally end Veteran homelessness in Los Angeles by the end of 2015, which was the same lie and false promise in the VA “settlement agreement” in response to a Federal Judgment adjudicating nine real estate deals on VA property with non-Veteran entities that were “unauthorized by law and therefore void.” It’s now 2020 and Los Angeles is still the capital for homeless Veterans and the illegal aliens are still crossing the USA border. Moreover, these 'occupants' are still protected on veteran land that has become a sanctuary haven to wealthy and private Brentwood School, UCLA’s baseball diamond, Brentwood Village shopping center public park, City of Los Angeles public dog park, Breitburn Energy’s private oil-drilling, etc., while disabled Veterans are living homeless and hungry on the public sidewalk adjacent to the Los Angeles VA. Los Angeles is still the capital for homeless Veterans

This 22-acre parcel fronting Wilshire Boulevard is arguably one of the most valuable properties in the USA

Now, the City of L.A., with full support and approval of the Los Angeles VA, has taken over this invaluable VA property and is constructing a massive “wall” on the west side of what’s known as the revered Governor’s Mansion and lawn. The VA declares this is a “sound barrier” with no explanation as to where the sound is coming from and who is supposedly being protected from the sound. At a recent public VA town hall meeting, the director of the so-called draft master plan (master scam) boasted that they were cutting down trees on VA property to begin construction of an 800-car public parking garage in unison with the Metro Purple Line subway for the 2028 Olympic Games. This 22-acre parcel fronting Wilshire Boulevard is arguably one of the most valuable properties in the USA and there is no agreement or payment for this massive land swindle that defrauds war-injured U.S. Military Veterans of their disability benefits--a National Home for Disabled Volunteer Soldiers. See attached photo overview. We recently requested the VA provide documentation of the land-use agreements and maps of this massive takeover of Veterans Federal property, including the building permits and purpose for the construction, timeline, etc., regarding the tree removal and wall construction on VA property for the purported Metro Purple Line and received this response:

How could anyone be on Federal VA property doing all this massive destruction of 100-year old trees and the construction of a massive wall without any signed permits

“The easement contracts/agreements are under negotiation between the city and DVA. Any signed documents will be released publicly and posted on our FOIA site once completed. Only prep work is allowed at this time. No construction work.” Once again the VA is using serious deception to claim that what is actually going on is not actually construction. Check the attached photo overview and see the actual construction work in action … How could anyone be on Federal VA property doing all this massive destruction of 100-year old trees and the construction of a massive wall without any signed permits while the VA is claiming there’s no construction work taking place as the City and VA are negotiating behind closed doors to give the billion-dollar property away "free" with an "easement" for land that is deeded exclusively as a National Home for Disabled Volunteer Soldiers? It’s already been declared a “done deal” and Veterans want to know who signed off on this criminal grand-theft of Veterans land. Whoever the ‘dealmaker' is needs to be fired posthaste by President Trump. The President must issue an immediate eviction and cease and desist order for the illegal occupants to vacate the premises and remove all equipment from VA property in addition to completely restoring these grounds to the exact condition before the construction started.

Who is really trespassing and loitering on Federal VA property?

It's curious that while congress refuses to fund money to build a wall to keep illegal aliens out of the USA, the City of LA is building a massive wall on VA property that essentially keeps war-injured homeless U.S. Military Veterans out of the Los Angeles VA. This is an International disgrace. Consider this: Homeless Veterans outside the VA will be arrested for trespassing or loitering if they walk inside the VA. On the other hand, illegal real estate development is taking place with no valid authorization inside the VA. Who is really trespassing and loitering on Federal VA property? Where are the VA police that always boast they are "protecting VA property" when they come outside the VA and arrest elderly Veterans for displaying the American Flag? Eric Garcetti has blown $5 million over nearly a year and a half to build a tent-and-trailer camp to house 100 homeless Veterans while there are an estimated 4,000 homeless Veterans in Los Angeles. For $5 million, we could provide immediate emergency shelter for thousands of homeless Veterans with portable tents along with millions left over for feeding and caring for them. Nearly 80 years ago, the massive Department of Defense Pentagon building – still one of the largest office buildings in the world -- was fully built in about the same amount of time the City has taken to put up a feckless industrial tent and a few trailers.

Keep close watch on how quickly this massive wall is being built to purportedly protect some unknown entities from “sound,” but the VA still cannot honor and fulfill the #1 Objective / Promise of the 2015 settlement agreement to protect disabled homeless Veterans from the inhumane treatment of living in back-alley squalor and public sidewalks. Indeed, President Trump must personally come here and issue an Executive Order that brings an immediate halt to construction of this illegal wall and evict each and every illegal occupant on VA property -- in full compliance with the January 28, 2018, 120-page VA-OIG Report -- and to fully honor the legal trust deed of 1888 “to be permanently maintained as a National Home for Disabled Volunteer Soldiers.” And for the record, this destruction and construction is taking place on the very same VA land that we have proposed as a Western White House and Commander-in-Chief's Mansion. “Save Our Veterans Land” and “Bring Our Homeless Veterans HOME” “God Bless America and the Veterans Revolution”
