Earth Day Network wrong to connect extinctions with global warming

Monday is Earth Day, an annual event celebrated globally since 1970. Dedicated to demonstrating support for environmental protection, this year’s Earth Day includes events in over 193 countries, coordinated by the Earth Day Network (EDN). For Earth Day 2019, EDN is concentrating on species extinction. That appears to be a good change from the years EDN focused on the highly debatable issue of dangerous man-made climate change. However, EDN lists climate change as the first cause of the supposed extinction problem. On their Web site, they assert:
