Climate alarmist theory has collapsed’ - Compares Climate Models to the Nigerian e-mail scams

By Dr. William J.R. Alexander, Professor Emeritus of the Department of Civil and Biosystems Engineering at the University of Pretoria in South Africa and a former member of the United Nations Scientific and Technical Committee on Natural Disasters. Dr. Alexander’s Key Quote: “I have no more faith in global climate model (GCM) predictions than I have in all those emails from Nigeria advising me that I have won the Lotto, or those proposals from rich widows in Dubai who have just lost their husbands, or from the less frequent emails from my bank asking for details of my banking account. These GCMs are mathematical dinosaurs.”

Global COOLING Continues: 2008 So Far Coolest For at Least 5 Years

[Note: More prominent scientists dissent: See: U.S. Government Scientist: 'It is a blatant lie' by media that all scientists agree climate- says blunt Spoken NOAA Atmospheric Scientist – NOAA Hurricane researcher and Meteorologist Stanley B. Goldenberg of NOAA (National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration) - Goldenberg: ‘It is a blatant lie put forth in the media that makes it seem there is only a fringe of scientists who don’t buy into anthropogenic global warming.’ See ]

New climate record shows century-long droughts in eastern N. A. - Reaffirms 1500 year solar cycle

Excerpt: A stalagmite in a West Virginia cave has yielded the most detailed geological record to date on climate cycles in eastern North America over the past 7,000 years. The new study confirms that during periods when Earth received less solar radiation, the Atlantic Ocean cooled, icebergs increased and precipitation fell, creating a series of century-long droughts.

Arctic ice refuses to melt as ordered

Excerpt: The Arctic melt season is nearly done for this year. The sun is now very low above the horizon and will set for the winter at the North Pole in five weeks. And none of these dire predictions have come to pass. Yet there is, however, something odd going on with the ice data. […]The National Snow and Ice Data Center (NSIDC)'s troublesome ice graph - The problem is that this graph does not appear to be correct. Other data sources show Arctic ice having made a nice recovery this summer.

‘Hysteria is based on half-baked computer models’

[Note: Dr. Hertzberg has granted permission to cite his quotes and reprint his letter to NYT’s Paul Krugman. Krugman’s August 1, alarmist column can be found here. – Note that more and more scientists who describe themselves as “liberal Democrats” and “socialists” are publicly dissenting from man-made climate fears. See this report here.]

Lord Monckton Rebuttal to Gavin Schmidt

A Response to Gavin Schmidt’s Critique of Monckton’s “Climate Sensitivity Reconsidered” Excerpt: For the second time, the FalseClimate1 propaganda blog, founded by two co-authors of the now-discredited2 “hockey-stick” graph by which the UN’s climate panel tried unsuccessfully to abolish the mediaeval warm period, has launched a malevolent, scientifically-illiterate, and unscientifically-ad-hominem attack on a publication by me.

American physicists warned not to debate global warming

Excerpt: Bureaucrats at the American Physical Society (APS) have issued a curious warning to their members about an article in one of their own publications. Don't read this, they say - we don't agree with it. But what is it about the piece that is so terrible, that like Medusa, it could make men go blind? It's an article that examines the calculation central to climate models.

2 Universities get multi-million dollar grants to study impact of cow flatulents

[Note: Perhaps saving the planet may not be the real motivation! ] Excerpt: A multi-million pound grant has been awarded to help forge an alliance between two Welsh universities working on problems posed by climate change. The Welsh Assembly Government's £23.5m investment will support a £55m project bringing together scientists at Aberystwyth and Bangor. The two universities are already working together studying the impact flatulent cows have on global warming.

The rise and rise of Climate Blasphemy

Excerpt: Increasingly in the climate change debate, no dissent can be brooked. I mean none. That is why, from the thousands and thousands of hours of TV programming devoted to climate change issues last year – from news reports on the threat of global warming to the lifestyle makeover shows imploring us to Go Green – only one has been singled out for censure.
