VACCINE PASSPORTS TO HELL

The latest CDC report shows that approximately 162 million COVID-19 vaccine doses have been administered. This number is increasing steadily every day. These results show that millions of Americans are not reluctant to take the vaccine. Despite the impressive distribution statistics, there is not universal support for the vaccine. On almost every major issue in the country there is diversity of opinion and this is certainly true for a topic as controversial as the COVID-19 vaccine.

Democrats Go crazy About New Georgia Election Law

The 2020 election was very controversial for the state of Georgia as many questions were raised about the integrity of the vote. There were concerns about a multitude of issues such as the possibility that ballots were scanned multiple times to questions about mysterious suitcases of votes being counted after GOP observers were no longer present. Absentee and mail-in ballots were also counted despite the lack of voter identification requirements. Due to concerns about the COVID-19 pandemic, 1.3 million voters in Georgia mailed in absentee ballots in the 2020 election.

Fauci vs. Freedom

Since 1984, Dr. Anthony Fauci has served as Director of the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases. During that period, his salary has steadily increased. The latest federal government payroll study indicated Fauci earned $417,608 in 2019. His salary not only exceeded the President of the United States, but also of every other person in our federal government with over 4 million employees. Clearly, he is not only overrated, but also overpaid. It is high time the highest paid federal government employee, Dr. Anthony Fauci, be fired.

It's Time To End The Clock Changing Madness

The dreaded time has come for Americans to lose one hour of sleep as we “spring forward” to daylight saving time (DST) and move forward our clocks. This adds another nuisance as it is already difficult for Americans to sleep enough with the constant stress of COVID-19, economic woes, and societal unrest throughout the country. One easy way to improve our sleep is to end this ridiculous ritual, which creates needless headaches and causes the unnecessary aggravation of changing our clocks twice a year. It may have been a good idea when it was implemented in 1918; however, over one century later, it has lost its usefulness.

Gun Control is Not About Crime Control

With Democrats in control of Congress and the White House, Americans can expect a series of progressive bills to be introduced. In a budget reconciliation process, the bills can be passed in the U.S. Senate with a simple majority. This is what happened with the $1.9 trillion monstrosity known as the COVID-19 relief bill. Fortunately, most legislation does not qualify for this designation and will require a 60-vote threshold in the U.S. Senate to pass. With such a requirement, it would seem the future looks bleak for the newly introduced Background Checks Expansion Act (BCEA). This gun control legislation will be subject to a Senate filibuster unless U.S. Senator Joe Manchin (D-WV) changes his mind.

Countdown to Kamala

President Joe Biden is a shadow of his former self. Long gone is the aggressive, pugnacious, and partisan Democrat who mistreated Supreme Court Justice Clarence Thomas in his confirmation hearings. Today, Americans see a President who is clearly mentally diminished and is getting worse on a daily basis. During the campaign, Biden refused to submit to a cognitive test. When asked by CBS News correspondent Errol Barnett if he would take a test, Biden snapped, “No, I haven’t taken a test. Why the hell would I take a test? Come on man, that’s like saying, before you got in this program, if you take a test where you’re taking cocaine or not. What do you think? Huh? Are you a junkie?”

THE END IS NEAR FOR COVID HYSTERIA

A dreadful year of COVID madness, with crazy recommendations such as wearing double masks, is, hopefully, nearing an end. According to Dr. Marty Makary, a health policy expert and surgeon at Johns Hopkins University, the United States is nearing herd immunity, which refers to a situation in a community when enough people are immune to a disease to prevent its spread to others who are not protected. This immunity can be achieved through vaccines and natural infection. Sadly, the hysterical mainstream news media, their allies in “big tech,” along with the Biden administration and many Democratic Governors, are not reporting the good news that is happening in the country. Their motivation is to keep Americans in a state of total fear. Fortunately, the good news is overwhelming the attempts to suppress the truth.

Trump Voters Will Never Forgive Shameful GOP Establishment

In 2016, Donald Trump was elected President of the United States despite being opposed by the establishment of the Republican Party. After four successful years as President, he received a record-setting 74.2 million votes. Obviously, the vast majority of Republicans strongly supported President Trump and approved of his performance in office. Polls showed that President Trump’s support level among Republicans reached 90% in 2020, an amazing feat considering the type of opposition he faced. Not surprisingly, he did not receive this type of support from his enemies within the Democratic Party, the Deep State, the media, and the Republican Party establishment. These GOP opponents were powerful, although they did not represent a significant number of grassroots Republicans.

Time For President Trump To Fight Back

Since the day he announced for President in 2015, Donald Trump has been treated horribly by his media and political opponents, both in the Republican and Democratic parties. No political candidate has ever received such terrible media coverage or such abuse from political insiders. Despite the unfair onslaught, he was elected President in 2016. Of course, his enemies were just beginning as the Russia hoax led to a two-year, $35 million Special Counsel investigation led by partisan Democratic attorneys. It was followed by an impeachment over bogus charges involving a perfectly acceptable phone call with the Ukrainian President.

Lately there has been so much frustration with the last election and the direction of our country that some Trump supporters have been talking about “secession.” Many conservatives and libertarians are asking if it makes sense for certain states to leave the union the way South Carolina left in 1860, after the election of Abraham Lincoln as President of the United States.

As a candidate and President, Donald Trump completely transformed the Republican Party. Gone were the policies that promoted endless wars, open borders, and bad trade deals. Trump ushered in an “America First” platform that answered to the citizens of our country, not the elitists and special interests. As an independent businessman who was not beholden to powerful donors, insiders and organizations that normally control politicians, Trump was a different kind of Republican. In fact, he was a breath of fresh air for a stale party that had become accustomed to losing elections.

An Escalator Ride Into Hell

Prior to entry into politics, Donald Trump was a celebrity loved by the media and adored by millions of Americans. He was a successful real estate developer and the star of a reality TV show. His life was fabulous, full of success and praise from across the country. It all changed for Donald Trump on June 16, 2015, when he announced his presidential campaign after the famous escalator ride. His media coverage immediately changed from positive to unrelentingly negative. During his speech, Trump told the truth about Mexico sending criminals into the country. He was immediately labeled a “racist” and the hateful attacks have never stopped.

The Purge Is Here

In recent years, most Americans refer to The Purge as a television and movie series, that depicts the violence and mayhem which occurs when citizens can commit any crime, including murder, during a 12-hour period once a year. However, the real “Great Purge” truly happened, it was not just Hollywood fiction. In the Soviet Union during the Stalin years, communist party leaders regularly purged their membership ranks of “undesirables.” In the “Great Purge” of 1936-38, more than four million people were executed and many more were sent to prison. Sadly, many progressives in our country today have communist tendencies. Although these leaders are not calling for the execution of Trump supporters, many are claiming that the “deplorables” should be banished from society and should be purged from public life. Instead of a 12-hour period, they are trying to make it permanent.

Oh Brother, Nancy Pelosi Is Insane

It seems that Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) did not get the message of the 2020 election. Her party lost almost every heavily contested race in the last election and the Democrats now have only a razor thin majority in the U.S. House of Representatives. Instead of moving to the ideological middle to find common ground with Republicans, Pelosi and her leadership team are moving further to the ridiculously progressive left. For example, on Friday, Pelosi introduced new rules for the 117th session of Congress. The package includes requirements that all gender specific language be replaced by gender neutral wording.

Last week, we asked the listeners of the Ringside Politics program to nominate their “Heroes” and “Zeroes” of 2020. This is an annual exercise that always elicits excellent nominations. This year was no exception as 2020 has been eventful, disturbing, and extremely challenging. Everyone is eagerly anticipating the arrival of 2021 and the hope of better times ahead.

The Smartest Guy Joe Knows Is Pretty Dumb

Throughout the scandals of the last few years, former Vice President Joe Biden has repeatedly heaped praise on his troubled son Hunter. In several interviews, including one this week, he has referred to Hunter as the “smartest guy” he knows. To make such a statement, it is clear that Joe Biden needs a much larger circle of acquaintances. Is Joe Biden even qualified to identify a smart person? In fact, how smart is Joe Biden? The record shows he is the antithesis of smart. From his many asinine comments to his long record of questionable associations to his multiple episodes of outright plagiarism, Joe Biden is certainly not smart.

Time For Another Absurd Person Of The Year Award

There was a time in America when the three broadcast television networks enjoyed a monopoly and the major newspapers such as the Washington Post and the New York Times were extremely powerful. During that time, weekly magazines were also popular and considered must reading. For decades, Time Magazine was quite influential in our country. Every year, the magazine would award their "Man of the Year" or "Woman of the Year." Readers truly looked forward to this year-end announcement, probably not realizing the left-wing tilt of the magazine. As evidence, the award winners have often been Democrat Presidents like Harry Truman, Bill Clinton, Barack Obama, and Lyndon Johnson, who each won the award twice and Franklin Delano Roosevelt, who won three times. In addition, John F. Kennedy, and Jimmy Carter both won the award once. 

This Crisis Demands a Constitutional Analysis of Voting Machines

There are constitutional rules on how prisons are operated, how zoning laws must be drafted and what rights members of the LGBT community must be accorded; however, there are no rules regarding modern voting machines, as well as the hardware and software used to tabulate votes. Clearly, some constitutional rules should apply to these machines because they control our most basic rights, which includes the right to vote and the right to have it counted honestly.

Andrew Cuomo Is Ringside Politics Turkey Of The Year

Every year on the Ringside Politics program, we present our “Turkey of the Year.” For 21 years, we have given this award to worthy recipients who have distinguished themselves in a unique way. Our winners have included local political leaders such as former New Orleans Mayors Ray Nagin and Mitch Landrieu, as well as non-politicians, such as filmmaker Michael Moore. The award has been given to both Republicans and Democrats, depending on who is the biggest “Turkey of the Year.”

2020 ELECTION SHOWED LIMITS OF CRIMINAL JUSTICE REFORM

In the 2020 election, the far left failed miserably. At the presidential level, Donald Trump added 11 million votes to his 2016 total. In other races, the GOP had a particularly good Election Day as Republicans gained control of at least a dozen U.S. House seats, a governorship, three state legislative bodies and probably retained control of the U.S. Senate, although the answer will not be known until the outcome of the two Georgia races are decided in January.
