One Unique Republican Doctor’s Mission to Heal America is Also Just What’s Needed to Heal the GOP

A key reason for the mass disillusionment with politics today is the fundamental lack of leadership on the part of most candidates. Many who seek high office have shown complete ignorance on a wide range of important issues. In the height of campaigns, when candidates would seemingly be most interested in trying to address the pressing matters facing society, true concerns are brushed aside to make way for party politics and media mudslinging. Such a mindset not only fails to benefit society, it’s also the definition of bad politics.

United Against Olbermann, For All Who’ve Had Enough

One thing that most people on both the right and on the left can usually agree upon is the fact that those who risk their lives to serve our nation are deserving of our profound respect. Apparently this belief is not shared by Keith Olbermann.

When the National Media Sees the Need to Falsely Portray All Those Around Him

Lt. Col. Allen West is a great candidate. He speaks with honesty and clarity as his innate sincerity and devotion to the nation pour through. He’s that rare form of politician, an honest one. And that sincerity attracts Republicans and Democrats alike to him, whether or not they share his conservative views.

Al-Jazeera Harassment of US Politicians Rings True

About a week ago, I featured a story on al-Jazeera having called a Republican congressional candidate’s office asking for a last minute interview to take place later that night. The caller also asked for the candidate’s home address and said that they would pick him up and bring him to their location for interview, a location that they did not disclose.

Why the European Crowds Cheered Obama

To properly analyze the reason for the reception that Barack Obama received yesterday in Europe, one needs only to look at which lines caused the crowds to cheer and compare them with those that fell flat.

The Next Ronald Reagan is Running for Congress.  Did Al Jazeera Just Try to Kidnap Him?

As readers know, I’ve written before about the national importance of Lt. Col. Allen West’s congressional race in FL-22. The seat is one of the most likely GOP pickups anywhere in the nation and Lt. Col. West is the most high profile minority Republican running anywhere in 2008. But that’s not why electing Allen West is so important.

Those Who Care For The Future Of Conservatism Should Make A Show Of Support For Bob Parks

Bob ParksWhile I rarely endorse or encourage financial contributions, I believe that the case of Bob Parks, operator of BlackandRight warrants an exception. Bob Parks is a true conservative leader, in the very non-conservative state of Massachusetts. Parks is a hero to many conservatives, no only as one of select few African-American Republicans in New England, but also as a leader of conservatism. As a past candidate for State Party Chair, Parks came closer than almost anyone else in turning the Republican Party of Massachusetts into a conservative force. If he had succeeded, Democrats would have been forced to follow suit on many issues and their State House would host more Republican legislators than the current 13%. Parks is also a talented film producer for the conservative cause, one video on his channelreceiving over 790,000 hits.

President Bush was Right, As Evidenced by This Month’s Sale of Saddam’s Uranium and More

If anyone doubts the need to have ousted Saddam, a news release in the past few days should put such doubts to rest. The report is that the US has sold 550 metric tons of yellowcake uranium that had been found in Iraq to Cameco, a Canadian company. The uranium will now be used as fuel and poses no severe risk if properly stored and sealed.

What Republicans Must Do in 2008

Contrary to media reports, Republican fortunes aren’t lost, especially given a Democratic Congress with single digit approval ratings. But to prepare for this election Republicans need to do 2 things; counter common lies and present bold ideas. Media distortions of the GOP record, their false portrayal of the war, of Katrina and of so many other issues ring true to those who don't bother to analyze facts. In 2008, unlike 2006, we need to counter media lies head on. Simply put, we need to take a look at what went wrong in 2006 and learn from it.

Logical Proof of the Existence of a Divine Creator, Why Atheism is Not Logically Sound

One of the beautiful aspects of self evident truths is that they can be proven on both the simplest and the most complex of levels. By contrast, to make an argument for what is in fact an illogical fallacy, one must use plenty of skill, sophistry and remain beholden to a dogmatic protection of what is really an illogical position.

The Deception and Lack of Integrity of Jodi Kantor and the New York Times

In my previous column, “Rarely Do I Agree With the Rev. Jeremiah Wright - An Open Letter to the New York Times,” I sought to expose how a New York Times article by Jodi Kantor had used fraud and deception to portray those hesitant about voting for Barack Obama as racists. Unfortunately, I had no idea of just how far and dishonest she and the Times had been, something I found out only upon further investigation.

America’s Greatest Terror Threat – A Threat From Within and Its Easy Solution

It’s not even a secret that radical jihadist groups are recruiting from among America’s prison population. They do so by turning to dejected people who face long sentences and offering them a distorted sense of purpose. They cater to their bitterness and seek to turn it against society. Stopping them in their tracks is easy and would harm no one (and I do mean no one, not criminals, law enforcement, society or prison workers and owners; read on) and would benefit all in many ways.

Rarely Do I Agree With the Rev. Jeremiah Wright

Rev. Jeremiah Wright and Jodi KantonI sent a copy of this to their Public Editor, Mr. Clark Hoyt. A man I would not usually write to, as he's best known for publicly attacking one of his own columnists for the sin of being a right winger. But, as he is their public editor, he should be sent a copy. The article in question was written by an obnoxious reporter, Jodi Kantor, who stepped aside as the Times' Arts Editor after coming into controversy. More recently, she was pilloried by the Rev. Jeremiah Wright for misrepresenting his comments about Barack Obama in an interview he gave to her. The times that I find myself in agreement with Rev. Wright are rare, so I'd like to celebrate this meeting of the minds with a little letter to Clark Hoyt, a man who's done more to retire journalistic integrity in the past year than most propagandists accomplish in a lifetime.

No Minority Candidate for the GOP With a Chance of Winning?  Really Politico??

According a very poor analysis offered this week by the Politico, which was highlighted by Drudge for all of about half a hour before he realized how false it was and removed it, the “GOP is heading into the 2008 election without a single minority candidate with a plausible chance of winning a campaign for the House, the Senate or governor.”
