Senator Warren's Illegal Fundraiser at Los Angeles VA

LOS ANGELES - Eric K. Shinseki, Secretary of the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA), has allowed the Los Angeles VA to be used as a political fundraiser for U.S. Senator Elizabeth Warren (D-MA) while the Vietnam Veterans of America, Region 9 service organization (VVA-9), has been denied a permit to host their 4th Annual Veterans Summer Celebration & Picnic on these same sacred grounds. Obama Favors Ukraine Citizenry Over Homeless Veterans

LOS ANGELES - If President Barack Obama was as assertive at protecting the property rights of the Los Angeles National Veterans Home as he is at protecting the borders of Ukraine, we wouldn't have 20,000 war-injured and impoverished U.S. Military Veterans living homeless and hungry in America's capital for homeless Veterans.

The Injustice of the Department of Justice

LOS ANGELES - More than 2500 years ago, Aesop prophetically forewarned: “We hang the petty thieves and appoint the great ones to public office.” Putting this into today’s perspective, if a homeless and hungry Veteran pilfers some food for personal survival he or she will go to jail. If dishonest public officials embezzle billions-of-dollars of Veterans’ property for personal advantage, they will be shielded from prosecution. This discriminatory injustice must cease, posthaste!

Zen and Waxman’s Legacy

Wei Wu Wei, the legendary Zen Master, profoundly noted:
“When you give a shilling to a beggar do you realize that you are giving it to yourself? When you help a lame dog over a stile do you realize that you yourself are being helped? When you kick a man when he is down do you realize that you are kicking yourself? Give him another kick - if you deserve it!”
