The picture that says it all!

imageThis picture says it all. Speaker Pelosi has made a dictatorial sham of her office, Speaker of the House of Representatives. Carrying the House gavel in public like a club ... shame. This is not Europe and Elected Officials do not march through the streets like European Fascists, Socialists and Communists do to display raw political power. The Roman Tribune"Fasces" [as in "Fascism"] ... was a bundle of reed-rods surrounding an axe head... the symbol of ultimate authority and the power of Rome. Guards carried the Fasces at the head of the procession as the Tribune made his way through the crowded streets. The message was, "Get out of the way."

Obama’s “Oracle of Delphi”

“If all mankind minus one, were of one opinion, and only one person were of the contrary opinion, mankind would be no more justified in silencing that one person, than he, if he had the power, would be justified in silencing mankind.” - John Stuart Mill, On Liberty

That was then, this is then?

image“I am more concerned about the return of my money than the return on my money.” --Mark Twain I am no expert in economics, or the political and fiscal manipulations by the Federal Reserve, the US Treasurer, the Congress, or the Executive. But today, I was reading an article by analyst Thomas E. Woods, Jr. of the Von Mises Institute, entitled “The Great Gold Robbery of 1933,” when I developed that uneasy “uh-oh” feeling. This article was written shortly before the Financial Crisis of September 2008 and before the enactment of the Troubled Asset Relief Program [TARP] legislation. As I read through this, I recalled all of the recent talk about the Glass-Steagall Act. I decided subsequently to do a simple search of the archives of Time.com.

Order, Stability, Progress and Reform

"A party of order or stability, and a party of progress or reform, are both necessary elements of a healthy state of political life." - John Stuart Mill, essay "On Liberty" "A state which dwarfs its men, in order that they may be more docile instruments in its hands even for beneficial purpose - will find that with small men no great thing can really be accomplished." Mill, Ibid.

Preparing for the Next Attack

“America loves a winner, and will not tolerate a loser, this is why America has never, and will never, lose a war.” General George S. Patton. We are at war, and I am distressed at our low alert level and the accompanying sense of pessimism in America.

There is no “Out,” there is only “In?”

Catharsis

This last weekend I had a little temper tantrum. I was enraged to see the President of the United States bowing to the Emperor of Japan. The American President bows to no mere mortal, and neither do Americans. This is not arrogance. This is freedom! So, I scribbled down a short narrative and sent it to Canada Free Press. I must have hit a common nerve. The article was published with an accompanying video and had a tremendous impact on a lot of people. I received more comments on this one short emotional diatribe, than I have from any of my last ten articles ... put together ... and not one of the comments was "hate mail."

Have we gone mad?!

I cannot describe the anger when I saw this. Americans bow to no one except Jesus Christ, the Son of God.

A New Constitutional-Republican Majority Being Born

The Progressive Democrats are doomed to failure. Why? Because Socialism does not work and Americans rejected slavery long ago. Progressivism is State Sponsored Slavery. The GOP, may be going the way of its Whig predecessor. Why? Because they show no backbone in critical debates, and are prone to compromise on matters of principle. Changes are coming. Fasten your seat belt. Be inspired!

Oaths of Freedom versus Oaths of Bondage

image“God pardon all oaths that are broke to me! God keep all vows unbroken are made to thee!” - Wm. Shakespeare, King Richard II, Act III. Scene iv. Oaths and American Politics: What kind of oaths are you prepared to take? What is the oath of a freeman? What is the oath of a slave? The oath of a freeman binds man to serve and defend freedom for all. The oath of a slave binds man to serve a master and his desire.

Ode to a Nobel Prize Winner

In the works of Sir Walter Scott [1771-1832] one gains beautiful insights and descriptions about chivalric character and patriotism. Whether one reads the poem below or his works like "Ivanhoe," this man puts together words that move the soul.

A MacArthur Moment?

imageConsider the following: “A foolish consistency is the hobgoblin of little minds, adored by little statesmen, and philosophers and divines. With consistency a great soul has simply nothing to do. … Speak what you think to-day in words as hard as cannon-balls, and to-morrow speak what to-morrow thinks in hard words again, though it contradict everything you said today.” Ralph Waldo Emerson

National Interest Adrift

For want of a nail the shoe was lost. For want of a shoe the horse was lost. For want of a horse the rider was lost. For want of a rider the battle was lost. For want of a battle the kingdom was lost. And all for the want of a horseshoe nail. – Old Proverb

Roosevelt, Obama, and Stockholm

Fireside Chat Obama"Du sublime au ridicule il n'y a qu'un pas." [Tr: There is only one step from the sublime to the ridiculous.] -- Napoleon I, after the retreat from Moscow in 1812. What is it about Barack Obama that holds and even commands a majority of likely voters as loyal, true believers and defenders? What makes people still say, "It's only been seven months, give the guy a chance," "We elected him so we must support him?" How is it that Obama can change his positions and his words, deny that he has done so, and still maintain his credibility?

Holy smokes! How in-the-Obama did the “elites” allow this to happen?

God is great! It must have something to do with the kind of "C" & "D" students that are admitted to, and graduate from the Harvard, Yale, Brown, Princeton, and Columbia and then go on to the White House or the Senate to bilk the public as ambulance-chasing politicians.
