This picture says it all. Speaker Pelosi has made a dictatorial sham of her office, Speaker of the House of Representatives. Carrying the House gavel in public like a club ... shame.
This is not Europe and Elected Officials do not march through the streets like European Fascists, Socialists and Communists do to display raw political power.
The Roman Tribune"Fasces" [as in "Fascism"] ... was a bundle of reed-rods surrounding an axe head... the symbol of ultimate authority and the power of Rome. Guards carried the Fasces at the head of the procession as the Tribune made his way through the crowded streets. The message was, "Get out of the way."

I am no expert in economics, or the political and fiscal manipulations by the Federal Reserve, the US Treasurer, the Congress, or the Executive. But today, I was reading an article by analyst Thomas E. Woods, Jr. of the Von Mises Institute, entitled “The Great Gold Robbery of 1933,” when I developed that uneasy “uh-oh” feeling.
This article was written shortly before the Financial Crisis of September 2008 and before the enactment of the Troubled Asset Relief Program [TARP] legislation. As I read through this, I recalled all of the recent talk about the Glass-Steagall Act. I decided subsequently to do a simple search of the archives of Time.com.

Oaths and American Politics:
What kind of oaths are you prepared to take?
What is the oath of a freeman? What is the oath of a slave? The oath of a freeman binds man to serve and defend freedom for all.
The oath of a slave binds man to serve a master and his desire.
Consider the following:

What is it about Barack Obama that holds and even commands a majority of likely voters as loyal, true believers and defenders? What makes people still say, "It's only been seven months, give the guy a chance," "We elected him so we must support him?" How is it that Obama can change his positions and his words, deny that he has done so, and still maintain his credibility?
