It’s the banner for an e-column published by REDSTATE © (a Blog) and edited by Erick Erickson. It’s a good article and develops a few good points. But, it makes certain statements some may take exception to; not because Erickson is wrong but because the perceptions he reports on are prejudiced and myopic in the way they perceive Republicanism (as in the party) and the Tea Party movement as a subset of the party.

Waiting

"Waiting On The World To Change"
 Me and all my friends
We're all misunderstood
They say we stand for nothing and
There's no way we ever could

Now we see everything that's going wrong
With the world and those who lead it
We just feel like we don't have the means
To rise above and beat it

 Chorus: So we keep waiting
Waiting on the world to change
 We keep on waiting
Waiting on the world to change

It's hard to beat the system
When we're standing at a distance
 So we keep waiting
Waiting on the world to change

Now if we had the power
To bring our neighbors home from war
They would have never missed a Christmas
No more ribbons on their door
And when you trust your television
What you get is what you got
Cause when they own the information, oh
They can bend it all they want

Chorus…

It's not that we don't care,
We just know that the fight ain't fair
 So we keep on waiting
Waiting on the world to change

 And we're still waiting
Waiting on the world to change
We keep on waiting waiting on the world to change
 One day our generation
Is gonna rule the population
 So we keep on waiting
Waiting on the world to change

We keep on waiting

Rotting fish

It’s been said before and it’ll be said again: Obama is following a strictly Alinsky based rhetoric storm. He’s taken the initiative and slams the opposition by accusing it of having done some egregious, horrible act HE’S guilty of in the first place.

Imaginary lover

Imaginary guvmint, almost run aground, when all the others worry today, Obama leaves town. It’s his private pleasure, midnight fantasy, someone to share wildest dreams indeed Imaginary lover, he’s handy all the time Imaginary, oh yeah When ordinary lovers don’t feel what you feel as real-life situations lose their thrill imagination’s unreal. Imaginary lover, imaginary lover, he’ll go blind anytime (Instrumental interlude) Imaginary lovers never disagree Congress isn’t there, isn’t there for your needs Their satisfaction’s guaranteed Imaginary lover, Imaginary lover Obama’s almost blind, his imaginary lover’s ready all the time. Full faith and WHAT!!!!!

With government allegedly at a standstill the rubber gummed hucksters are spreading their rhetoric like fresh slop in a pig-pen. The politicos are talking about funding the government and whether for or against ObamaCare, they swear on their ancestors’ hallowed graves they don’t want to jeopardize the world’s “full faith and trust” in the American economy. It would be a lot easier to believe in the “full faith and trust” of our economy if we had ANYTHING approaching “full faith and trust” in the jackasses claiming they represent the American people and the government they’ve screwed up so majestically over the past few decades.

Still more rising incompetents

It appears political parties require not that the most enterprising and qualified people exhibiting modesty, intelligence and a history of hard work be promoted within the hierarchy but, that the most conceited, greedy, lazy and self-serving, rhetoric rich and substance challenged should rise to the top echelons of the group. It appears from observation the worst examples of candidates are presented with party backing while those possibly more qualified are disallowed the financial support and backing necessary to prevail.

Rise of the incompetents

Years ago a man wrote a book called The Peter Principle. The Peter Principle states the members of an organization where promotion is based on achievement, success, and merit will eventually be promoted beyond their level of ability. The principle is commonly phrased, "Employees tend to rise to their level of incompetence." In more formal parlance, the effect could be stated as: employees tend to be given increasing responsibility and authority until they cannot continue to work competently. It was formulated by Laurence J. Peter and Raymond Hull in their 1969 book The Peter Principle, a humorous[1] treatise, which also introduced the "salutary science of hierarchiology. (Wikipedia 2013)

Cui Bono (Who benefits?)

The Romans had a phrase they used when they started questioning people’s motivations. The phrase was “Cui Bono” - who benefits?

Between ignorance and cowardice

Allegedly Bill Clinton disarmed U.S. soldiers on military bases by commanding they not be allowed to possess and/or carry personal firearms on base. This happened in 1993.

Noblesse Oblige

As usual, the messenger is being fired on like Custer looking for a campsite at the Little Bighorn. Senator David Vitter (R-LA.) has called for a floor vote on his bill to effectively end exempting Congressmen and their staffs from having to pay for their participation in ObamaCare. These people would receive a healthy subsidy financed by tax-dollars. They would become the only people to gain these subsidies. For this, Vitter is being attacked personally and legislation drafted against him for his past admission of inappropriate activity. In an act of obvious spitefulness, Senate Democrats drafted legislation to embarrass Vitter and divert attention from the fact Obama exempted these people for political gain by directing attention to a 2007 prostitution scandal involving Vitter.

BizzarObama

Vladimir Putin, former KGB agent and present President of Russia has the god-almighty balls to lecture the United States on “insufficient communication between our societies” concerning Syria and the use of violence. If the thought was ludicrous, the action is beyond absurd. But, that’s the state of affairs engendered by Obama, his weak-kneed policies and total lack of a coherent foreign policy in a world demanding strength, integrity and morality in political conduct.

False Fag operation

John Kerry, out of frustration and severely tested to remove his size 12+ hoof from his over-sized mouth demanded Bashar al-Assad fork over his entire stock of chemical weapons to internationally controlled intermediaries within one week or America would attack militarily. After saying the response would be an “unbelievably small, limited kind of effort” (a laughingly inept display of shiftless irritation and insincerity which undermined the rationale for any action at all), Vladimir Putin spun the roulette wheel and Bashar al-Assad dropped his chips declaring basically: “we can do this”. Putin and al-Assad snatched victory from the jaws of defeat and strutted to center-stage in this pathetic comedy Obama calls Foreign Policy.

Euphoria

After the British Parliament voted resoundingly to NOT help Beaurat Obama launch missiles into Syria to punish Bashar al-Assad, the Pentagon ordered British forces removed from the intelligence loop. The Pentagon didn’t feel Britain was dependable enough to be “read in” on the planning phases of the operation. It’s been seen as a slap to the face of one of our oldest allies.

Obama and his Mannequin

As Obama, Kerry, McCain and Graham walk around trying to convince the American public that Bashar al-Assad is not only a meanie and a bad, bad man for having gassed his own people if not outright killing them, it’s been noticed nobody is even broaching the possibility the Sarin Gas might have been used by Al Qaeda.

McCain’s ADD is rampant

As America debates the legality and morality of intervention in the Syrian civil war, one of our “greatest” (yeah Right!) war heroes is dedicating his full attention and gravitas to our possible military action. He plays video-poker on an iPhone while testimony is given in Congress. This was witnessed and recorded by a Washington Post photographer and published in their on-line edition.

The Pit

One must only look at how the British conduct their legislative business to appreciate the birthplace of American democratic process. One only needs to witness the manner in which Congress conducts America’s legislative business to ask the question; just where in hell did it all go wrong?

Understand

I was privileged to receive a commentary from a lady in Texas. This happened after I made mention of the past couple of weeks having been more of a trial than a blessing. My correspondent was afraid I’d caught the Flu or some such indignity making me miserable. In fact the situation is worse than that and you’ll understand my fears and uncertainty for the future.

The blood of innocents

Is Obama the guy that was going to scuff out the imprint of America stamped almost irreducibly into the soil of foreign affairs across the globe? Or, is this the America Obama is fundamentally changing with his schizophrenic re-defined diplomacy? Is America a harridan forcing her ideals on all of her audience?

Displaced compassion

America’s caught in a terrible state of displaced compassion. Compassion is defined as: The understanding or empathy for the suffering or circumstances of another or others.
