The Crap Sandwich

The politics of this nation has lead us to believe America has come close, because of some form of political drift, to taking residence in that underworld ruled by Hades. It’s the only thing makes sense as we have Democrats acting as Democrats do and pushing Socialist ideas as the way to assure everybody has at least a minimum stolen from them by their government and then given to somebody else. Add to the mix mush-melons like John Boner and Mitch McConnell trying desperately to save their political privileges and positions by assenting to anything and everything the Democrats place on their plates at dinner, and you can understand the sour attitude.

Infotainment

“Man bites off father's eyebrow on drive home from wedding...” This disconcerting headline graced the monitor’s face as I arose to start the day. This is indicative of a slow news day. It also indicates how low the mentality of the human race has fallen. News ceased being the reportage of facts concerning the path mankind is following as he wanders toward oblivion. Now it’s called “Infotainment”. This is an example of unholy husbandry resulting in the cross-breeding of entertainment and information “reportage”.

A wannabee ruler

I don’t know what bothers me more; the fact Obama is president of my nation or the fact he’s trying to prejudicially change it because his “values” and mine are so diametrically opposed. He wants to change America drastically. He’s impatient to get it done during HIS administration. I want things to grow as they will and according to the will of the people, not along the political lines of only two political ideologies wrapped around a common core of self-serving Progressive Marxist Socialism.

Gore(y) Flatulence

Jack Frost, a whimsical character but can be a mean little nipper. His image personifies crisp, cold, winter weather like his grandpa Old Man Winter. This past week, “old Jack” has trampled the Midwest and Northeast with a devilish delight. I hope to NEVER endure it again in my life.

ObamaBots

I fall into that classification of people known as a Luddite: a worker who destroyed machinery, esp. in cotton and woolen mills. Luddites believed technology threatened their jobs between 1811 and 1816.

Caught again

The headline virtually leaps from the monitor: IRAN CALLS WHITE HOUSE FACT SHEET ON NUKE DEAL ‘INVALID’. (Washington Times 11-26-2013)

The Democrats invested in failure by design and practice.

Beaurat Obama believes we have “… one Side of Capitol Hill Invested In Failure”. I’d say that’s accurate. If you look at the past and recent performance of the Incompetent-in-Chief you’ll see he’s the titular head of the Democrat Party and as such has backed more whack-job, fouled-up socialism based B.S. than any past administration. It’s the Democrats invested in failure by design and practice.

Coming to the luau?

In a copyrighted story first published in CNS News, Susan Jones quoted Beaurat Obama’s contention the Affordable Care Act debacle aka ObamaCare needs repair. He’s quoted as saying: “We are going to have to … fix the website so everybody feels confident about that. We're going to have to, obviously, re-market and re-brand, and that will be challenging in this political environment."

Now let the wounds heal

In March we published a piece called “Credit for time served”. It addressed what proved to be the coming controversy concerning Mayor Demetric “Deedy” Slaughter and how she handled her professional duties as the elected mayor of the city of Port Allen, LA.

Pushing past a clot

Almost ten years ago I awoke to a painful experience. Thinking it was no more than an overly generous dose of indigestion and/or heartburn I became anxious, worrisome and aggravated. Thinking it might be a caused by a pocket of intestinal gas located high in my intestines I tried going to the bathroom to pass the gas or whatever might be in the way of relief. Nothing worked. The more I pushed and strained, the more I understood I was executing a dangerous activity called the Valsalva Maneuver.

There is no other but the ONE

Occasionally somebody asks why conservatives have so much trouble helping people. This is troubling because conservatives have been noted for being the more charitable members of society over the years. But conservatives expect (and some demand) the individual be responsible for his or her actions. It’s this responsibility in action indicates the productivity and purpose of the individual in society. Those expecting the responsibility gauge the value of another based on their performance and know how much they can count on that person in times of trouble.

Contagious depression

There’s a rime of frost on the windows and the air carries that crisp, cutting edge on a breeze manufactured in the north. My dogs Coco and Chewy are bouncing around outside trying to determine why I’ve ostracized them to Antarctica. The answer’s simple: my toilet is indoors while theirs is in the neighbor’s backyard. I’m not going to change that because the neighbor’s chickens like to leave their effluent in my yard. It seems a fair trade.

The Headache’s coming

“I know there is a God – I see the storm coming and I see his hand in it – if he has a place then I am ready – we see the hand” – JFK I have a new friend I cherish as we should cherish all of our friends. But, she’s becoming special to me because she’s actually one of the most HUMAN beings I’ve conversed with in a long time. I’ve never met her and don’t so much as know what she looks like, but she’s a patriot and a person who’s engaged with her need to protect her country and the future of her children.

Pulling the roots apart

Anybody endures any amount of time in my presence understands I love words, language and the “art” of communication.

Pirates

Piracy was (and is) a dynamic and dangerous industry often ending in injury or death for both side of the equation: the pirates and the pirated. The “Golden Age of Pirates” (1650 – 1720s) was directed by the conduct of economics as ANY form of warfare is. The vessels used were many times the mightiest available, while at other times a large rowboat sufficed to get the job done. We’ll deal with the “mightiest available” as we’re going to equate piracy to its closest equivalent industry: POLITICS.

Fourteen Characteristics

We find ourselves living in a fundamentally changing nation. It’s a nation heralding that change with a nouveau riche blend of faux-patriotic slogans: “Hope and Change”, “FORWARD!” And “Yes we Can!” Flags are adorned (defaced?) with the face of the incumbent “leader of the free world”. Children have been exhorted to sing the praises of the man most recently elected to the presidency. The state’s been moved to an overpowering position of supremacy over the people “as we go marching on” (Battle Hymn of the Republic).

Harvesting the Weeds

This column has addressed the fact Obama gets his information, clipped, cut, sculpted and dressed like a fresh haircut barbered by people in total accord with his concept of style. Give him his Marxist/Socialist style with a suggestion of Progressivism and he’s happy to go on vacation neatly trimmed for the next photo-op.

Joan of Arc redux

Be careful what you ask for: you might get it. This sage advice offered by every parent ever listened to the angst dramatically rendered by their teenagers for some ridiculously trivial slight has existed for millennia. It ranks near the pinnacle of trite aphorisms and clichés.

Leader of the Pack

Plausible deniability describes withholding information from senior officials to protect them from repercussions and/or criticism in the event illegal or unpopular activities become public. The term refers to denying blame in a command chain.

Philosophical myopia

This morning is a pain in the butt. My computer was hacked by people from, of all places, Bangkok. It seems there’s a small society of worthless, useless and misguided little twerps out there causing the downfall of people such as I. They have no other purpose evidently than to cause trouble and laugh about it after they cause people more trouble than imaginable.
