Being simultaneously comical and tragic, perhaps nothing reflects our descent into Idiocracy more than millennials who'll insist their misspellings of words are correct. Just yesterday I read an eyebrow-raising story about this that was quite timely, as I'd experienced millennial spelling moronity just the day prior.
My case involved a leftist who emailed me with some deep, substantive criticism: He said I was "insane," "nuttier than a fruitcake" and "f*****g" nuts." I responded to him. While I generally don't play the spelling Nazi, leftists' characteristic superciliousness inspired me to mention to him, kindly, that he'd written "you're" as "your" three times in six sentences. His response?

Ever since the El Paso shooting, talk of racism has been ratcheted up. Racism certainly is a problem, too, one accompanied by another problem: Those talking most about it appear to know least what it actually is. But try this on for size:
How about when you emphasize only the relatively rare killings committed by one particular racial group while ignoring murders in which its members are victims, in order to make it appear a unique threat?
With leftists seeking to blame the El Paso shooting on President Trump, guns, white people and whatever other boogieman will help score political points, a simple fact should be understood:
Murder is a Democrat thing.
In the El Paso shooting's wake, evident is the same wash-rinse-repeat pattern. There are the inevitable calls for gun control by demagogues concerned only about people control, those who put the onus on whites when 
We Americans are currently in a civilizational state historians William Strauss and Neil Howe would call the "Third Turning": an unraveling. The so-called Left is making it happen, too, with conservatives enabling it by conserving yesterday's liberalism and being those nice guys who finish last.
In Marxist circles, this stage would be called "destabilization" -- the second of a four-part process to subvert a society and seize control. The first, third and fourth stages are, respectively, "demoralization," "crisis" and "normalization."
For those still feeling the Bern, I've some bad news: Bernie Sanders will never be president. This is first and foremost because he'll never, ever be the Democrat nominee. The man who never really was yesterday's candidate (except in Vermont) is nonetheless yesterday's news.
While I wrote about this prior to Thursday's Star Wars bar scene (a.k.a. the Democratic Debate), that no one is talking about Sanders after that event tells the tale. His case is a curious one, too.
“Equality” cries were cherished by feminists when they gave females entry into military academies, boardrooms and the ranks of police; prize-money parity in some sporting events; and access to boys' athletics. But with these appeals now putting sexually confused men in women's sports, well, feminists' cries are a tad different. Equality can be a real downer when it's principle and not ploy.
Conditioned responses are funny things. One of them, the statement that they're "probably all nice people"--oft used when discussing illegal migrants--is also a dangerous thing.
