Would anyone in this party be interested in stopping Hillary?

No one has to explain to me about the rough-and-tumble nature of presidential primary races. I know a little something about this. They’re hard-fought because everyone wants to win, and while it’s usually not personal, no one is taking any prisoners because everyone wants the prize.

End identity politics: Do what you want, be what you are!

I’m starting to think the growing absurdity in our nation’s culture can be explained by a simple but troubling fact: Far too many people just don’t like who they are. They don’t like their identities.

Four years later, nothing has changed in U.S. foreign policy

Yesterday I took a trip down memory lane and listened to some audio clips from the first presidential debate I participated in back in 2011. We also played the clips on the radio, and couldn't help but notice something.

Thanks, ObamaCare! U.S. looks to be short 94,000 doctors

Maybe it’s just as well that state-run ObamaCare exchanges are collapsing under the weight of their own economic implausibility. If they were able to successfully provide people with decent health insurance coverage, there wouldn’t be enough doctors to provide the services anyway. ObamaCare strikes again!

Dedication to Barney

A friend, gentleman and fellow church member was just found dead from a home invasion at his Atlanta-area home. He was shot twice in the back. Barney was not sick to our knowledge, and he was a faithful contributing member of our church family, and his community.

You will believe in the left-wing orthodoxy, and you will like it

Banks announce they will not lend money to people who deal in firearms. A major fundraising web site refuses to host campaigns for the targets of ideological harassment. A U.S. senator openly threatens to go after global warming skeptics using a law that was passed to take down the mafia. Governors veto laws designed to protect religious freedom after receiving threats from organizations like the National Football League. And of course, conservative organizations endure harassment from the IRS.

Sorry, Whoopi: Your 'countless racist remarks' nonsense is just more political noise

Sometimes I feel badly for Ben Carson. He worked hard in his run for president – and you know I can relate – and when his campaign ended unsuccessfully he decided to endorse Donald Trump. Now sure, when you endorse someone, it’s fair that people ask you to defend that person’s positions, records, public statements, etc. And Donald Trump provides plenty of material for people to ask about.

Sort of like Cuba's 'elections,' the Democrat nominating race is basically fixed

Maybe when Obama told Raul Castro that America can learn from Cuba, he was talking about the manner in which we hold elections. The more you look at the Democrats' presidential nominating contest, the more you realize it looks an awful lot like the sham "elections" they hold in communist countries. The people get to go and "vote," but how they vote is largely irrelevant. The winner is predetermined.

Enough with the 'secret conservative meetings' to stop Trump

The Republican Party and the conservative movement – which are not necessarily the same thing – share the same problem at the moment. They can’t seem to control the people. And they’re convinced that if they don’t find a way, it will lead to their demise.

GOP establishment sends in Jeb in search of a way to stop Trump

If Jeb Bush’s people are to be believed (I guess Jeb Bush still has people), candidates Ted Cruz, Marco Rubio and John Kasich requested meetings with him in Florida this past week. The meetings with Cruz and Rubio already happened, and the one with Kasich is supposedly coming up.

Most endorsements don't matter; Carson's endorsement of Trump matters a lot

I realize that, most of the time, voters are not strongly influenced by endorsements from newspapers, former candidates, etc. That’s one of the reasons I haven’t made one myself. You want to vote for the candidate who speaks to you, not the candidate who speaks to me. It’s one thing to make a strong argument on behalf of a candidate – that might get someone thinking – but the idea that you’re more likely to vote for someone because he or she was “endorsed” by someone seems pretty silly.

OMG: Dinesh D'Souza's trailer for 'Hillary's America' is simply astonishing

Dinesh D'Souza is a man who has paid a heavy price for his political activism, yet it has not slowed him down in the slightest. And now, as America stands at risk of seeing Hillary Clinton assume the power of the presidency, D'Souza is back to remind us not only of what motivates Hillary to seek power, but what has motivated the Democratic Party throughout its entire history.

Mitt Romney is entitled to his own opinion, but not his own facts, about Donald Trump

Mitt Romney's much publicized speech last week was all anti-Trump. That's his choice, but he cannot choose to misrepresent the facts. Also, he chose to ignore the overwhelming number of people who have given Donald Trump the lead in the Republican delegate count so far. Romney's first false accusation was that Trump's domestic policies would send this economy into a deep recession. Really! Trump's published tax plan helps the economy with lower rates and simplicity. Secondly, his just released health insurance solution to replace ObamaCare helps the economy and provides a dramatic boost to families.

Let the GOP race play out before panicking and putting Hillary in the White House

If any idea should be non-controversial among Republicans, I would have thought it would be this: Hillary Clinton should never be president of the United States. Whether you start with her corruption, her lack of achievements, her lack of skill or her total lack of anything resembling principles – this is clearly not a person any Republican should be willing to see in the White House.
