Dems trying to tune out radio talk show heroes

Internet giant Drudge tells the story best--in so many words--the Democrats are trying to deprive Americans of talk show radio. The Dems, dragging ever downward in their own ratings, want to rid the airwaves of the tell-it-like-it-is Rush Limbaugh and Michael Savage for once and for all.

Nancy’s prayers

Nancy Pelosi The only one whose knickers are bound to be in a twist over the grandiose gesture of House Speaker Nancy Pelosi "praying" for U.S. President George W. Bush, is opponent Cindy Sheehan. Pelosi rang George W. to tell him she is praying for him and praying that he would change his mind and sign a children's health insurance bill, which expands a federal insurance program by $35 billion over five years--far in excess of Bush's own proposal. Catholics are taught that they should never pray for money, but as far as most politicians go, money from the public purse is only taxpayers' money anyway.

Listening to Golden Oldies at Echos—where I want to be!

DJ Lenny, Kerry Wilkinson
D.J. Lenny (left) and Owner Kerry Wilkinson
Right up there with investigative journalism and gourmet cooking, the allure of the Golden Oldies is my passion. Tuning in to AM740 is the start of my every business day. The songs of Dean Martin, Fats Domino and Gerry Vale keep me going. They make all the difference in my overly busy life in front of the computer screen. Sometimes I get to tune in to AM740 when not writing for Canada Free Press (CFP). Barring business emergencies, at 2 p.m. every Sunday, I put everything aside to hear Gene Stevens. I rate his Vintage Favorites; from 2 to 4 as the best radio show I've ever heard!

Canada worse than Mexico for U.S. border security

TerroristsUncle Sam, occupied by the possibility of would-be terrorists among illegal aliens crossing its borders from Mexico, is now looking at Canada. A recent U.S. government report says it would be easy to smuggle dangerous materials into the United States. And if anyone wants to smuggle dangerous materials into the U.S., they have the more than 8,000 kilometers of US-Canada border to do so.

Moonbat Die-in suffers instant death

It was one of those life-defining moments standing in front of the Walter Reed Army Medical Center when Friday's Retreat was called for the traditional lowering the flag. Standing with Melanie Morgan of Move America Forward (MAF) for this moving ceremony, ushered in by the haunting sound of Taps, remains etched on my heart.
