Sarah Palin predicted a weak Obama would enable the 'invasion' of Ukraine

At yesterday's tan suit presser, President Obama said a whole lot of nothing. After informing our ISIS enemies that he has no idea what he's going to do about them - if anything - he turned his attention to Russia. It's should be obvious to every clear-thinking man, woman, and child that, if over a thousand troops, tanks, and paratroopers drop into a foreign nation, it's being invaded. Unfortunately, it seems that it's not obvious to Barack Obama. ...Because the word "invasion" has magically disappeared from his vocabulary.

Russia now marching full-bore into Ukraine

Russia's invasion of Ukraine is full-speed ahead these days, as Vladimir Putin seeks to establish a "land bridge" between Russia and the Crimean Peninsula that will eliminate the need to supply Russians in Crimea by air. But don't worry! The New York Times reassures us that Barack Obama is downplaying the whole thing and is on top of the crucial task of managing our expectations that he will do a damn thing about it.

Follow the money

It appears it’s a good year to be a lawyer in Washington. John Boehner says he’ll bring suit against Beaurat Obama (we’ll see if Boehner has the cojones to actually file the suit) and now presidential wannabe Bobby Jindal will apparently sue Obama and the feds because Common Core has a dead, rotting little worm resident at the heart of the program.

The Trouble With Obama's Non-Binding UN Climate Plan?

The Obama administration is signaling that there will be not be a new climate treaty. According to a report in Wednesday’s New York Times, the path to a treaty has come to an end, 14 months before the Paris talks scheduled for next year. Instead, the best deal on offer is a non-binding accord. There is a big problem with this. It has already been tried, and it failed. --Rupert Darwall, National Review Online, 29 August 2014

The Media at War With the Obama Administration?

While the media are usually doing the bidding of President Obama and the Democrats, and are deep in the President’s pocket, there are cases in which they are very unhappy with his actions. New York Times reporter James Risen has become famous not only for his ongoing Espionage Act case, but also for his willingness to call President Obama the “greatest enemy to press freedom in a generation.”

SOCOM Change of Command

On December 4, 1783, at Fraunces Tavern in New York City, General Washington bade farewell to his officers. His words still convey the emotionalism of the change of command: "With a heart full of love and gratitude, I now take leave of you. I most devoutly wish that your later days may be as prosperous and happy as your former ones have been glorious and honorable."

Putin Storms Ukraine

Putin Storms Ukraine
Yesterday, Ukrainian President Petro O. Poroshenko declared that Russia had invaded his nation. Col. Andriy Lysenko, spokesman for the Ukrainian military, confirmed that two armored columns of Russian forces, replete with tanks and armored fighting vehicles, captured the town of Novoazovsk on the Sea of Azov near the Russian border. Ukrainian troops were forced to retreat in the face of superior fighting power that included Grad missiles launched from Russian territory. "Our border servicemen and guardsmen retreated as they did not have heavy equipment," Lysenko said in a statement.

Liberal failures and the real lessons of Ferguson

Washington Times Clearly, something tragic happened during the confrontation on the street that day that left a young man dead and a community in chaos. Certainly, our hearts go out to the family and we can all hope that the investigation into what happened will be swift, thorough and fair to all parties.

Why Worry When You Can Pray

Why Worry When You Can Pray
I am often asked, “How can you stay focused so intently upon the situations and circumstances surrounding America’s current condition of managed decline without succumbing to the mind-chilling depression it warrants?”

Palestine--Unearthing Past Remains Key To Resolving Future

The cease fire agreement ending hostilities in the Fifty Day War between Israel and Hamas marks yet another milestone attesting to the failure of Jews and Arabs to peacefully resolve their claims to sovereignty and self-determination in the territory once called "Palestine".

Obama: 'We don't have a strategy yet' for defeating ISIS

Why would you get all hot and bothered to develop a strategy for defeating the JV team? Come on, y'all. It's annoying to the president when "folks are getting a little further ahead of what we're at than we currently are"

Offshore Wind and Higher Prices Coming to Maryland

The Department of Interior just leased two tracks off the coast of Ocean City, Maryland to a wind developer. When the wind facility is built, it will cost Maryland residents higher electricity bills due to the exorbitant cost of offshore wind. Residential customers will see up to $1.50 more a month in their bills and corporations can expect a 1.5 percent monthly surcharge once the wind turbines are up and running. But that won’t be for quite a while given the steps that are needed before construction can begin.
