FAUCI: If we see an increase in cases, we have to "be able to pivot and go back to” COVID restrictionspic.twitter.com/ayQqSVO6uO

“Keep your mask on, stay isolated and get ready for another round of vaccines. The World Health Organization (W.H.O.) is determined that despite other competing global concerns including war, famine, floods, inflation, and soaring energy prices, coronavirus must remain at the forefront of public consciousness. “To that end the U.N. body issued another caution Thursday saying social restrictions plus mass vaccination campaigns must not be wound back under any circumstances because current case rates are the “tip of the iceberg,” Reuters reports. They’ve already heard W.H.O. in Canada where Prime Minister Justin Trudeau and Ontario Premier Doug Ford have announced that they will continue to wear masks at Parliament and the Legislature. Ontarians may be free from mask restrictions come Monday, but every time they see Parliament and the Ontario Legislature in session, elected officials will be wearing masks. “The W.H.O.s warning came 48-hours after Pfizer and partner BioNTech approached U.S. regulators renewing their call for authorization to administer a fourth coronavirus shot as a booster for seniors, as Breitbart News reported, even as Americans are ditching their masks as they turn their back on restrictions. (Breitbart) “The latest coronavirus surge is caused by a combination of factors, including the highly transmissible Omicron variant and its BA.2 sublineage, and the wider international lifting of public health and social measures, the W.H.O. outlined. “These increases are occurring despite reductions in testing in some countries, which means the cases we’re seeing are just the tip of the iceberg,” W.H.O.’s head Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus said in a briefing. “The W.H.O. chief pointed to low vaccination rate and “huge amount of misinformation” to explain the rise in infection rates. “He said new infections jumped by eight percent globally compared to the previous week, with 11 million new cases and just over 43,000 new deaths reported from March 7-13. It is the first rise since the end of January. “The biggest jump includes South Korea and China, where cases rose by 25 percent and deaths by 27 percent. “The W.H.O.’s Maria Van Kerkhove added BA.2 appears to be the most transmissible variant so far. “However, there are no signs that it causes more severe disease and no evidence that any other new variants are driving the rise in cases.”
“Why? Probably because another wave is coming, and she and her bosses hope you won't notice the vaccines have failed. “She said “we don’t know” if Covid was “more serious” for a 79-year-old than a 20-year-old. Yes, the official spokesperson for the White House actually said that. Q: — even though if the President — 79 years old — the President of the United States were to get COVID, it might be more serious than, you know, somebody in their twenties? “MS. PSAKI: Well, we don’t know that.. I wouldn’t agree with your description there. Then she said that “mRNA vaccines” work against Omicron. Yes, she actually said that too. MS. PSAKI: We do know the tools the United States has — including the mRNA vaccines, therapeutics, and tests — all are effective tools against this variant. SOURCE
“Here’s the thing. “The public health authorities know the truth. They aren’t as dumb or starry-eyed as they were last spring. They have learned not to believe Pfizer, as it promises a fourth shot will fix everything. (Pause for a moment to consider the fact they ever believed Pfizer. About anything.) “More importantly, they see what’s happening all over Western Europe and Asia. “Another wave is coming to the United States. Bank it. In terms of the number of infections, the United States may not hit the insane levels that some European and Asian countries are seeing. South Korea, wow. “We have more natural (real) immunity here than those countries do - and a smaller percentage of the population locked into vaccine “protection” that is not just useless against Omicron but apparently counterproductive. We already know infection rates are higher in the vaccinated. Worse, it looks increasingly like vaccinated people can get infected with Omicron or Omicron subvariants more than once in quick succession. “Yet they can’t openly admit the shots don’t work. Which means lots of hand-waving about testing and therapeutics and how we’re all better off now than we were two years. Right. Case and death counts are at levels that the Democrats called completely unacceptable not just under Trump but for most of 2021 as well. It also means continued fibs - okay, lies - about how most people who are dying are unvaccinated. “No wonder Jen Psaki is making such obvious mistakes. The pressure must be enormous.”‘Kayleigh McEnany takes swipe at Jen Psaki for needing to ‘circle back’ with press’ (New York Post, March 5, 2021)
“Former White House press secretary Kayleigh McEnany took a swipe at her successor Jen Psaki over her penchant for saying she’d “circle back” to answer reporters’ questions.”Meanwhile Psaki’s “circling back” goes well beyond the OK Covid Corral and all the way up to America circling the drain.
