The Democrats may very well learn the hard way that there has to be a better reason to remove a president than 'just because'

Revenge of the Swamp Monsters

Revenge of the Swamp MonstersWe knew when Trump won the election in 2016 that there was going to be the Devil to pay, the swamp was going to rise up. And rise they did, even before he took office. But we are now a bit taken back by the level of intensity, the never ending accusations, by every form of political and bureaucratic debris. They have thrown everything at this president they can find for mere numerical value. Trump has indeed disturbed the nest of biting swamp flies, both lords and ladies. And they are determined to protect their rice bowls.

The opposition is not concerned with mere right and wrong, only winning

Impeachment is a political act, not a legal one. Legal experts say a president cannot be prosecuted while in office. That leaves only the process of impeachment available to Congress to remove a president... a simple majority in the House, and 67% of the Senate to convict. Our founders were wise. They built a system of checks and balances, but knew of political intrigue as well. They didn't make it easy. We now have enough political intrigue to impress even Machiavelli. The course of impeachment could take years. Democrats know this, but their 'thinking' is such that they're hoping the process will deter enough Trump voters to make the action unnecessary. Just have it on the front-page of every compliant news outlet every day. The opposition is not concerned with mere right and wrong, only winning. Of all the accusations, two stand out with reason, political, that is. First is the Russia/Trump saga. U.S. intelligence agencies (deep in the swamp with many within found to be incompetent, as reported by the special prosecutor) believe Russia tried to sway the 2016 election in favor of Donald Trump. No one has yet to show why Russia would want Trump to be president when it is almost common knowledge that any Clinton can be bought with cash, lots of it...and Russia had already paid dearly for the benefits for which they were waiting.

Genuine Clinton/Russia collusion

A 448-page report by a special counsel found nothing, no evidence, nada of Trump's asserted collusion.of dollars from Russia. If she had won, she would have owed them plenty The reason for this accusation was to hide the genuine Clinton/Russia collusion. The Clintons have received hundreds of millions Then there is the Trump/Ukraine tale. As the story goes, Trump allegedly tried to get Ukraine to help in his re-election by pressuring Ukraine to dig up damaging information on a political rival. Was he? Or was the President attempting to get to the bottom of a very curious set of circumstances? Biden's son manages to secure a seat on the board of a Ukraine company with zero experience in what they do, does not speak the language, and has never lived there. He is reportedly making between $600,000 and $1 million a year when, at most, similar positions get $100,000 to $200,000 a year with experience. Ukraine decides to look into it so Biden pressures Ukraine to fire the prosecutor, which they did in April of 2016 (before Trump was president), and the case was closed. Even if you put your common sense to sleep, you must discern a bug on the frosting.

Democrats don'y make arguments, instead they use righteous indignation with buzzwords like national security, abuse of power, betrayal, unpresidential...very surfacey stuff.

One may see Trump's suspicion as a political act, but Biden is not immune to prosecution for corruption while he was vice-president just because he is now running for president. And there lies the benefit. This could be a double blessing for the Democrats...eliminate the gaff machine who has literally no chance of winning and dilute the corruption with righteous and honorable indignation. If you know that Democrats always accuse opponents of what they are doing, you know that they don't make arguments, instead they use righteous indignation with buzzwords like national security, abuse of power, betrayal, unpresidential...very surfacey stuff. A minister/friend once reminded me that there is no such thing as righteous indignation, unless the subject is God. "For none are righteous, not one." Romans 3:10 The Democrats may very well learn the hard way that there has to be a better reason to remove a president than 'because'.
