The spittle-flecked bon mots and Tweets of Macron and Trudeau don’t seem to be scaring Trump off

The Debutante Debut of the G7 #MeToo Movement

The Debutante Debut of the G7 #MeToo Movement Word leaders attending today’s 2-day G7 meetings have clambered onto the bandwagon of celebrities and comedians who use pumped up hatred of President Donald Trump—mostly because it’s good for publicity leverage. Stand-up comedians of the day, who know that public displays of Trump hatred will garner them swift attention, are getting to be so many that they could form their own #MeToo initiative. Related:
Powdering up for an entry from Stage Left at the G7 Summit in Quebec are debutantes, Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau and French President Emanuel Macron, ready to take a go at America’s 45th. Duck for cover, Donald, two garrulous guys who only got to where they are by posing as ‘Feminists’, are coming to get you. President Macron, who seemingly speaks for all six countries promising to save the world in just 2 days from a remote part of Quebec this go-round, seems to be using Germany’s Angela Merkel as a nursemaid in a picture hugging her going viral over the Internet today. The back-and-forth Tweeting going on before G7 gets underway would frighten off all birds but vultures.

In response to Trump’s Twitter, Macron Tweeted back that the summit did not need the U.S. Macron’s sparring partner PM Trudeau certainly does as America is Canada’s Number One trading partner.  Macron, who really gets around, has already arrived in Canada where he and Trudeau warned Trump his actions had put his people's 'jobs on the line'. “The American President may not mind being isolated, but neither do we mind signing a 6 country agreement if need be, Macron Tweeted. “Because these 6 countries represent values, they represent an economic market which has the weight of history behind it and which is now a true international force.” President Donald Trump had fired a shot at U.S. allies France and Canada ahead of the G7 summit “The US president was also unhappy over Trudeau's barbs about Canada's better relationship with the US under Barack Obama.(CNN, June 7, 2018)
'Prime Minister Trudeau is being so indignant, bringing up the relationship that the U.S. and Canada had over the many years and all sorts of other things...but he doesn’t bring up the fact that they charge us up to 300% on dairy — hurting our Farmers, killing our Agriculture!' Trump tweeted Thursday. “The tweet followed another, where he wrote that: 'The EU trade surplus with the U.S. is $151 Billion, and Canada keeps our farmers and others out.’

The spittle-flecked bon mots and Tweets of Macron and Trudeau don’t seem to be scaring Trump off

The spittle-flecked bon mots and Tweets of Macron and Trudeau don’t seem to be scaring Trump off since he concluded his message by writing: “Look forward to seeing them tomorrow”. Macron and Trudeau have worked themselves into a huff in their criticism of Trump's new tariff policy, particularly because of his decision to impose tariffs on steel and aluminium imports. “'American jobs are on the line because of his actions and because of his administration,' Trudeau said on Parliament Hill in Ontario.” (Daily Mail, June 7, 2018) Take that, celebrity, comedian, media and world leader-hated, President Trump. But the comrades in arms are likely to find fertile ground among G7 leaders who stand against Trump in a range of issues from trade to the environment as well as Iran and the construction of a new U.S. embassy in Jerusalem.

Everyone’s in on the act, including Tommy Vietor, who served as President Obama's national security spokesperson, proving he can be as foul-mouthed as any latter-day comedian by retweeting Trump's rejoinder with these words: "There’s just no reason to be an insufferable prick to our closest allies."  (Daily Mail) After meeting face to face with Macron and
Trudeau, Trump has announced he plans to leave the summit early, departing mid-morning on Saturday, skipping the sessions on climate change and the environment, and leaving only a White House aide in his place. “Because these 6 countries represent values, they represent an economic market which has the weight of history behind it and which is now a true international force.” Hello, M. Macron. What values? Most of the 6 countries about whom you boast cannot even provide safety for their own populations when they continue to allow their borders to be flooded by unchecked immigrants. Their constituents should be asking both Macron and Trudeau. What have you done lately for your country? Constituents of Britain and Germany should pose the same question to their wishy-washy leaders.
