Timid Trudeau Turns on Trump the Minute He Leaves G-7 Summit
It’s all (mercifully) over for another year, save for the on-the-way-back-home from the G-7 summit belching.

The international elite, now known as the “G-7-minus one”, burped champagne and belched brandy at another multi-million dollar gathering, this time in rural Quebec, whose farmers were Prime Minister Justin Trudeau-ordered not to fertilize their already late planted crops for fear the smell of cow manure might play foul with their greedy appetites.

Instead there was only the unmistakable stench of hypocrisy as the economic leaders of the world’s richest nations talked, talked, talked, and as usual will go on to do nothing, nothing, nothing while awaiting next year’s lavish summit.

Prime on their agenda as usual was the photo-op, media captioned as “The family”.

They came for the annual pow-wow as usual this year with their just as usual protest prop, whose demonstrators loudly protest capitalism and colonization, as usual never managing to get too close to the summit attendees.

Does anyone outside of Seattle ever hear from these annual protesters between G-7 summits?

“Trade dominated the two-day summit that began on Friday with leaders of Germany, France, Japan, Canada, Britain and Italy returning to the topic repeatedly in meetings, at a lavish dinner and by a fireside pit late into the evening. (Reuters, June 9, 2018)

“A photo tweeted by the German government spokesman, @RegSprecher, captured the mood, showing a seated Trump, arms crossed, surrounded by other leaders standing over him.”

Lost on Sprecher was the mood of eat, drink and be merry as the taxpayers will be picking up the tab.

Some of the outcomes of this gab-fest were downright comical.

“Trudeau, who has been sparring with Mr. Trump on trade in recent days, announced at the conclusion of the G-7 summit in Canada that the retaliatory tariffs will go into effect July 1. Trudeau said he told Mr. Trump “it would be with regret but it would be with absolute clarity and firmness that we move forward with retaliatory measures on July 1, applying equivalent tariffs to the ones that the Americans have unjustly applied to us.” (CBS, June 9, 2018)

“Canadians, we’re polite, we’re reasonable, but we also will not be pushed around,” Trudeau said.

“Mr. Trump responded directly to this statement in a tweet Saturday evening, writing that Trudeau “acted so meek and mild” and then held the press conference afterward criticizing the U.S.”

Trudeau comes across like the bully who dares not raise his head when the boogieman’s still in the room, but shouts “Misogynist!” to the shut door the minute the so-called boogieman leaves the room.

Nor can Trudeau honestly claim to represent Canadians when most Canadian males do not identify as “feminists” as he does

Fox News’ Steve Hilton correctly colorfully calls G-7 the “pompous pearl-clutchers of the international elite”.

They are also the eternally back-biting collect who complained about President Trump’s arrival in a helicopter, noise of which Reuter reports was so loud they had to stop talking for awhile, in a scene one official compared to the opening from the U.S. television series M.A.S.H.

It was a description that paled to the one he was to later lay on them: The “We couldn’t believe we got away with it”  Smirk Club.

Laying it on the line, he said the trade deficits that the U.S. faces “with virtually every country in the world”’ is the fault of past leaders from the last 50 years.

“A lot of these countries actually smile at me when I’m talking and the smile is - we couldn’t believe we got away with it,” Trump said.
He insisted things will be different going forward and argued that other countries have no choice in the matter. If they refuse to change, the massive U.S. economy could decide to no longer trade with them, he warned.

Trump said he doesn’t blame the current leaders, but he had a sharp warning for them if they don’t work with him to correct what he sees as an unfair situation.

“I will blame them if they don’t act smart,’’ he said. ‘“They understand that. They know it. When I’m telling them, they’re smiling at me. You know, it’s like the gig is up.”

The gig has been up ever since November, 2016 when voters spurned Hillary Clinton and refused to give her mentor Barack Obama a much coveted third term in office.
