Fellow Veterans and Friends of Veterans:
For the record, the Old Veterans Guard offered the VA 10x14 walk-in tents and a cot for homeless Veterans inside the VA. It was flat-out rejected by VA bureaucrats declaring they will only accept small, crawl-in pup tents.
When complaints were made for this inhumane treatment that causes great discomfort getting in and out along, with the hot weather on an asphalt blacktop parking lot, the VA's incompetent and anti-homeless Veteran cabal operating under the "leadership" of executive director Steve Braverman, then wasted more VA / Veteran funds to put free-standing canopy tents to cover the small pup tents. You can't make this up —( See attached incredulous photos) -- and we wonder why Los Angeles is our nation's capital for homeless Veterans when it's the feckless and dysfunctional VA bureaucrats leading the way.
