Islam Has a Problem (and I am Not Saying This Myself)

Political Correctness is falling away, taking heavier hits these days, as Radical Islam forces lovers of liberty and freedom to rethink the meaning of tolerance, and look into the deeper elements of Islam itself.

Another Reason Why Congress is Unpopular

Reflecting on why the Congress still hovers at a 15% approval rating compared to President Obama, who has climbed back to 50% since the 2014 elections, conservatives wonder why Congress still holds such low esteem among voters. When evaluating what Congress has done in the last six years, one can see why a lot of voters do not like Congress: they have passed very little legislation.

Why the Left Hates (and I Like) US Senator Cory Gardner

As the new Republican US Senate majority debates Keystone, one freshman deserves our attention: US Senator Cory Gardner (R-Colorado), a profile in savvy politicking, consistent campaigning, and long-standing integrity to the conservative cause. Lately, the national press highlighted his victory in light-blue Colorado. Inevitably, he has become a relentless target of the Left's subtle attempt to rewrite their epic losses as seeming victories, trying to explain how Cory did it.

McConnell's Veto-Proof Keystone Majority

US Senator Mary Landrieu (D-Louisiana) was French Toast the moment that Republicans took the upper chamber on November 4th, 2014. Even the Democratic National Senatorial Committee knew that she would not survive her state's December 6th run-off, and tacitly pulled financial support.

The Declaration of Independence is for All of Us

Modern statist (though they call themselves "progressive") critics have contended that the Declaration of Independence is a racist, sexist, elitist document which leaves out large groups of people, the majority of minorities, and thus enshrined a different cult of limited democracy, in which a selectively defined few would determine the future of everyone else to their narrow benefit, at the expense of everyone else.

Obama: Normalize Relations With Congress Before Cuba

President Obama has announced his intentions to normalize relations with Communist Cuba, a nation with which the United States has maintained a no-travel embargo for decades. The Latin American island's current leader, Raul Castro, even suggested that Obama lift restrictions through executive order. Nothing like one dictator egging on another to act on policy without the consent of the governed, or their representatives.

The 2016 "Establishment" GOP Candidates

As political talking heads bandy about the 2016 GOP Presidential nominees, three names crop up as the "Establishment" candidates. These individuals are connected to Big Business donors, they support low taxes, easing corporate regulations, amnesty, but ignore social issues.

Restore the Filibuster (with Conditions)

Bush v. Obama on Consulate Attacks

Liberals love to compare the Bush Administration to the Obama Administration, as if comparison and contrast justify wrong-doing from any President.

UKIP Leader Farage Praises the US Constitution

While conservative insurgents refocus on the Republican Party goals of limited government and individual liberty, libertarian activists in the United Kingdom have begun breaking away from the Conservative Party to form their own political group, the United Kingdom Independence Party (UKIP. The parliamentary system allows minor parties to exert majority influence, because the UK's unitary system dispenses with the winner-take-all aspect of federalized elections.

Good News in the Midst of Bad: Pennsylvania

Republicans did remarkably well in 2014. They took back the US Senate, by wider than expected margins. They also expanded their majority in the House. They also won a net three governor's races: Arkansas, Illinois, Maryland, and Massachusetts.

CA Sen. Barbara Boxer's Immigration Stance, and the Truth

Junior US Senator Barbara Boxer (D-California) delivered the following letter (reprinted in part below in italics) to President Obama and for public release on November 17, 2014. Referring to the US Senate's comprehensive reform legislation from 2013, the senator then pleads with the President to enact needed reforms without Congressional approval or authorization.
