The Obama Administration’s Duplicity On Israel

On February 18, 2011, the Obama administration vetoed a United Nations Security Council resolution sought by the Palestinian Authority and introduced by Lebanon, declaring Israeli settlements to be "illegal." In fact, the U.S. was the only Security Council member to vote against the measure. Countries supporting the resolution in a 14-1 vote, rather than at least abstaining, included the United Kingdom, France, and Germany.

7 Reasons Iran is an International Menace

The Islamic Republic of Iran is run by evil megalomaniacs, starting with the supreme leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei and President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad. They are intent on hastening the arrival of the 12th Imam, the latest in the succession of imams believed by some Islamic Shiite fundamentalists to be the direct descendants of Prophet Muhammad and the carriers of his message on earth.

President Obama’s Uncivil Defense Of Spoiled, Uncivil Wisconsin Public Unions

Instead of seriously trying to reduce the federal deficit, President Obama has sought fit to attack Republican Wisconsin Governor Scott Walker for trying to balance Wisconsin’s runaway budget. President Obama claimed that Governor Walker’s proposed reforms to the public union collective bargaining rights and his demands for increased contributions by Wisconsin’s spoiled state workers to help pay for their cushy benefits and pension plans are an ”assault on unions.”

President Obama’s Freudian Slip On His Budget

President Obama had a Freudian slip at his press conference yesterday while touting his new budget for the 2012 fiscal year. Before immediately catching himself and continuing on with his spin, he dropped the “S-Bomb” in declaring that his budget would bring:

President Obama’s Moral Cowardice In Iran

President Obama has shown moral cowardice in dealing with the brutal crack-down on the peaceful protesters in Iran. Ironically, it was at a press conference dealing with his new budget that Obama finally got around to saying something about Iran, after being asked to comment by a reporter. It was more of a professorial exposition on how lasting change can be brought and about the Iranian government’s hypocrisy than a direct, much less passionate, denunciation of the Iranian regime.

What the Muslim Brotherhood Tells The West It Wants Versus What It Really Wants

The New York Times ran an op-ed column today entitled “What the Muslim Brothers Want.” Its author is Essam El-Errian, a member of the guidance council of the Muslim Brotherhood in Egypt, whom the Times described in a prior article as the council’s “lone ‘reformist.’” This appears to be the same Muslim Brotherhood member who reportedly met with Frank Wisner, a former U.S. ambassador to Egypt, recently at the U.S. embassy in Cairo during Mr. Wisner’s fact-finding mission on behalf of the Obama administration.

Glenn Beck’s Mindless Critics On The Muslim Brotherhood

Glenn Beck has hit back effectively against his critics – from the Left as usual, but some also from the Right – who believe that his warnings about the Islamist Muslim Brotherhood are sheer lunacy. MSNBC’s Chris Matthews – who is apparently trying to take Keith Olbermann‘s place as the network’s leading left-wingnut – has compared Beck to the extremist John Birch Society.

Big Lie in Bill O’Reilly’s Obama Interview

Bill O’Reilly conducted a live pre-Super Bowl interview yesterday of President Obama from the White House on Fox. Given the time constraints and the protocols governing respect for the office of the President, O’Reilly’s tone was more constrained than usual, but he still managed to elicit some disturbing insights into Obama’s thinking.

The Real Haters: Radical Islamists And Leftists

David Horowitz and I have apparently hit a sore spot on the radical Left. They feel that we have been too hard in our recent articles on their kindred spirit, the radical Islamist Muslim Brotherhood. For example, the Daily Kos ran something called “Egypt Liveblog: Sub-Diary #30″ which attracted this introduction to my post on February 1st:

The Obama Administration’s Invitation To The Muslim Brotherhood

Rich Lowry’s column in the New York Post yesterday entitled “Hope & Fear in the ‘Arab Spring’” should be required reading at the White House. Lowry reminded us that, while “every revolution against autocracy is initially stirring,” they don’t always end up as well as the American Revolution. He cited the promising beginnings of the French, Russian and Iranian revolutions that were

The Muslim Brotherhood Sharks Are Circling In Egypt

The sharks are circling as hundreds of thousands of protesters continue to pour into the streets of Egypt and the government of Egyptian dictator President Hosni Mubarak is tottering. The radical Islamic Muslim Brotherhood, the most organized opposition group in Egypt, is trying to insert itself into a governing coalition to take over the reins of government. This would be a very bad development for the region as well as for the United States, because it would open the door to what we have seen in Iran, Lebanon and Gaza – the use of democratic means to achieve a radical Islamist end.

Paul v. Paul – Paul Krugman Loses A Round To GOP Fiscal Conservative Paul Ryan

Paul Krugman claimed in his New York Times op -ed article today that Republicans have mischaracterized what has happened in Europe to justify their own austerity program of significant budget cuts to reduce the national debt rather than monetizing it. He complained that Congressman Paul Ryan, who delivered the Republicans' response to President Obama's spend-by-another-name State of the Union Address, had appropriated Europe's debt problems on behalf of their own agenda, "never mind the fact that events in Europe actually point the other way."

President Obama’s Hindenburg Moment

President Barack Obama tried mightily to pull a Bill Clinton and move to the political center last night in his State of the Union address. But Obama is no Clinton. His roots are too deeply planted in the soil of progressivism to permit a true conversion. Clinton, on the other hand, had come out of the Democratic Party’s centrist wing and was more of an opportunistic politician than an ideologue.

The New Ground Zero Mosque Imam Selection Rubs More Salt Into The Wound

Imam Feisal Abdul Rauf is out as the religious face of the Park 51/Cordoba House mega mosque community center complex proposed to be built near Ground Zero. Rauf became too radioactive for the project’s developers, so he was pushed aside. Despite efforts by some apologists to defend this faux ‘moderate, the evidence of his true stealth jihad agenda was overwhelming.

Just an Entertainer”: Bill O’Reilly Gives Bill Maher A Free Pass to Give America the Fin

Would-be comedian and commentator Bill Maher decided to close out this season’s premiere of Real Time with his tiresome rant against the Tea Party - or, as he likes to call them, the “teabaggers.” Maher, a Leftist windbag, once again is giving the finger to the American people and to our Constitution – a trait he shares with so many of his friends on the Left.

Can Ban Ki-moon Save The United Nations?

United Nations Secretary General Ban Ki-moon outlined his strategic objectives for 2011 during his first press conference of the new year on January 14th. While refusing to disclose whether he intends to run for a second term as Secretary General, he vowed to "build on progress...that places a premium on the global legitimacy and pulling power of the United Nations." He committed to continue his efforts to strengthen the United Nations from within with increased transparency and efficiency, and defended his own administration against what he called "unfounded allegations" from a former colleague that he had not shown any real interest in fighting corruption at the UN.

Hillary Clinton Must Either Recant Or Resign

Secretary of State Hillary Clinton has her own obsession with supposed right-wing conspiracies, going back to the days of her husband’s administration. But her continued attempt to attribute the insane actions of the mentally deranged alleged shooter Jared Loughner to political extremism and mentioning his actions in the same breath as al Qaeda is beyond the pale.
