The New Obama Doctrine: Arming Our Enemies?

The Obama administration is reportedly actively considering arming the Libyan rebels without even knowing for certain who they really are. Secretary of State Hillary Clinton, who met on Tuesday in London with a senior rebel leader and made clear that Col. Qaddafi must go, admitted that:

The New York Times Launches a Leftist Cable Channel to Compete with Glenn Beck

The New York Times ran a sophomoric “Op-Art” piece on Saturday entitled “The Glenn Beck Channel.” Responding to reports this past week that Beck may be starting his own cable channel when his contract with Fox News expires later this year, the authors offered their suggestions for a viewing schedule.

7 Ways The Obama Administration Is Helping To Advance The Islamists’ Agenda

Islamic law (sharia) contradicts the notion that all human beings are entitled to be treated with equal dignity and have inalienable rights. Islamic law separates believers from nonbelievers, sanctioning inferior status, if not outright death, for the latter. In this worldview, religious tolerance is a one-way street. Women in Islam are degraded to submissiveness under misogynist laws. Children are taught to hate. Critical thought that questions official Islamic doctrines is regarded as the crime of defamation of Islam, punishable by death.

President Obama Continues To Get A Free Pass For His War Policies From Most On The Left

President Barack Obama has launched a third war in a Muslim country, expanded the war in Afghanistan and is continuing many of the national security policies of former President George W. Bush, including keeping Guantanamo open, indefinite detentions of enemy combatants, rendition and military trials. Civilians continue to be killed by U.S. and NATO military forces in Afghanistan and Pakistan. And, in just the last few days, photos have begun to be released of atrocious crimes against Afghan civilians, allegedly committed last year by American soldiers.

President Obama Follows France And the Arab League Into Libya

The United Nations Security Council, after days of debate, passed Resolution 1973 on March 17th authorizing member states to impose and enforce a no-fly zone in Libya and to "take all necessary measures" to protect civilians and civilian populated areas under threat of attack by Col. Moammar Qaddafi's forces, including the rebel stronghold of Benghazi. In addition to authorizing the use of military force if necessary under Article VII of the United Nations Charter, the resolution, passed with ten votes in favor and five countries abstaining (Russia, China, Brazil, Germany and India), includes provisions calling for an immediate ceasefire, a beefed up arms embargo, banning certain flights taking off to and landing from Libya and expanded asset freezes. However, the resolution explicitly rules out any "occupation force" in Libya.

It’s Time To Call Obama’s Bluff On Cutting the Deficit – Start With NPR Now!

It is time to get serious about actually cutting the deficit and stop talking about it. The three week continuing resolution (CR) just passed by the House with very modest cuts in order to keep the government running while negotiations with the White House and Senate Democrats proceed should be the last olive branch. And the cuts should also include some lefty sacred cows such as elimination of funding for public broadcasting.

Stop the Qaddafi Tsunami Before It Is Too Late

The horrific natural disaster in Japan and its aftermath have appropriately dominated the news since the earthquake and tsunami first struck last week. The death toll – in excess of 10,000 so far – is truly staggering. And the leakages from Japan’s crippled nuclear reactors threaten the lives and health of many more people.

The United Nations Security Council Finally Acts Against the Qaddafi Regime

One day after Libya's United Nations Ambassador Abdurrahman Shalgam pleaded to the United Nations Security Council to "save Libya" from dictator Col. Muammar Qaddafi's murderous regime, the Security Council listened. Shalgam, whom has been associated with Qaddafi since they both were involved in the coup d'état that toppled Libya's king in 1969, finally had enough. Reversing his earlier reluctance to directly criticize Qaddafi or call for him to step down, he told the Council on February 25th that Qaddafi's callous killings of unarmed civilians were on par with the brutalities of Hitler and Pol Pot. "Leave the Libyans alone" was his message to Qaddafi.

Whom Do You Want To Represent You In Elective Office?

A milk container should be produced with the faces of all Democratic legislators, from Wisconsin, Indiana and any other state, whom have run away from their states rather than carry out the duties for which they were elected. They are subverting our system of representative government.

The Obama Administration’s Duplicity On Israel

On February 18, 2011, the Obama administration vetoed a United Nations Security Council resolution sought by the Palestinian Authority and introduced by Lebanon, declaring Israeli settlements to be "illegal." In fact, the U.S. was the only Security Council member to vote against the measure. Countries supporting the resolution in a 14-1 vote, rather than at least abstaining, included the United Kingdom, France, and Germany.
