When will these "COVID-Vaccines" become APPROVED?

The mainstream media (radio, TV, newspapers) are full of reports of the successes of COVID-19 "vaccines" in reducing the number of new "cases" here and in many other jurisdictions. However, to this date none of those "mRNA-type vaccines" (like from Pfizer-BioNTech, Moderna, Novavax) and, perhaps, other manufacturers/providers) have received an unequivocal "stamp of approval" by any government entity (e.g., the U.S. Centers for Disease Control [CDC] and U.S. Food and Drug Administration [FDA]), or by Canada, or by Europe’s EMA (European Medicines Agency).

Undeniable fact: “Carbon Dioxide” is NOT a “pollutant” but a Giver of Life

Dear Prime Minister, Presumably, you’ve welcomed the Supreme Court’s ruling on the “carbon tax”. It never fails to amaze me how “climate change” is being equated with “carbon dioxide” (commonly referred to simply as “carbon”) or even termed “carbon pollution.” In fact, carbon dioxide (chemical symbol “CO2”) is the substance that is absolutely vital for all life on Earth!

Greetings from the sea-side of Nova Scotia -- long time “No See!” Actually, I don’t even remember meeting you at all – ever. Being much younger, I was just a baby when we may have met. COVID-19 here and COVID-19 there.  Each day, we're bombarded (I'd say ad nauseam) with reports and news of more COVID-19 "cases," whatever that term means. You'd think that this term would be well defined, here, there and everywhere. I wish you luck in finding a standard, generally accepted definition of it. If you succeed, please let me know. But, don't despair, there's a cure for it. Big Pharma is "on the case."

Fall 'sheds' of antlers turns into beautiful artwork

Dear Readers, this is not about your backyard shed where you may store implements for other seasons of the years, either gone by or yet to come. Rather, it's about the shed antlers of deer and moose that you may find while wandering around in the boreal forests of this continent. This is about some of the ungulates (hoofed animals) that you may see in the forests. There are three main groups of ungulates, namely those without any "head-ornament" (like horses), one with horns (like cattle and goats), and another with antlers (like deer and moose). In contrast to the horns of sheep, goats, or cattle that are permanently growing, the antlers of deer, elk, and moose grow anew each spring/summer season and are "shed" in the following winter.

The news is dire and, in some ways getting worse. There are more reported "cases" of corona virus infections every day and, as of late, more "climate change" alarmism, sometimes in the same breath. Government entities around the world have prescribed draconian measures to curtail individual freedoms of all kinds, like assembly and movement, like voicing opinions and more.  All of that solely in the name of fighting the COVID-19 (CV-19) virus.

A Lack of useful Information

It really upsets me when I hear on radio or see on TV newscasts some groups of people dutifully “disinfecting” whole streets by spraying them with “disinfectants” of one kind or another. Of course, washing hands is always a good first step. And the health authorities’ advice in that regard is certainly good, like the information at Canada’s website shown nearby.

The sky is falling, Chicken Little said so. And Foxy Loxy is licking his lips in anticipation. COVID-19 virus is nearly everywhere, "City Killer" asteroids are whizzing by earth, apparently at increasing frequency and a few million miles closer day by day, the oceans are said to be rising by leaps and bounds, and the atmosphere supposedly is getting warmer every summer. 

"Free Solar Energy" – for only $2+ per kWh

Sunshine is free but solar power is not. In fact, it’s anything else but free or cheap. As reported by the Las Vegas Review-Journal, the Crescent Dunes Solar Energy Project (CDEP), also known as the Tonopah Solar Energy Project, has stopped operating and has been "mothballed." The solar collectors, shown nearby, cover 300 acres.

My Dear Cousins Wiarton Willie (in Ontario) and Shubenacadie Sam (in Nova Scotia) in the Great White North of CANADA,  Phyllis, I, and our entire offspring were really happy to get your greetings last year. What was a real surprise and most pleasant news to read was that our "long-lost" cousin Shubenacadie Sam is fine as well!  We hope to keep in regular contact now. Luckily now, mid-winter is here again.

As the Independent reports, "Scientists have created what they claim are the first ever "living robots": entirely new life-forms created out of living cells." "It is the first time that humanity has been able to create "completely biological machines from the ground up", the team of authors behind the discovery write in a new paper." The New York Times is similarly excited, writing "A Frankenstein material' teeming with — and ultimately made by — photosynthetic microbes. And it can reproduce." Not to be outdone, Science reports ‘Frankenstein' material can self-heal, [and] reproduce.

Chewing Gum Revelations about the Relations

My Dear Relatives close by and far afield, the science of ancestral lineages is progressing rapidly. As it shows, nearly each of us is related to everyone else via some DNA (desoxy-ribonucleic acid) fragments that we inherited from our Neanderthal- GREAT-(GREAT-…) grand-mothers and -fathers. 

As an article at dailygamingworld.com states "A shocking discovery is that modern humans and Neanderthals mated several times during the last ice age, although our lines split 800,000 years ago. For this reason, many people now have Neanderthal DNA."

I don't know why that would be shocking, either to you or the late Neanderthals. Doesn't everyone have ancestors? 

Wildfires and Virtual Reality

A recent news post at Gizmodo claims to show “The Satellite Images That Show a Decade of Climate Change”. Needless to say, it was widely mentioned in the mainstream media. 

The above photo in this “documentary” shows a satellite shot with apparently numerous fires burning over a landscape of approximately 600 km in horizontal extent. Unfortunately, there are no captions, no date and no description of what it depicts. Given all the current fires in SE Australia, on first glance, it seemed to show that area, including the island of Tasmania on the bottom right. 

Need a novel New Year’s Resolution?  -- Try Climate Obsession!

(Somewhat tongue-in-cheek) If you are thinking about making New Year’s Resolutions (NYRs) to soothe your conscience, I suggest you venture from the beaten path. Pumping iron and exercising on the old treadmill type resolutions never last long before being forgotten and postponed for another year. Cannon Points are typically geographic promontories on lakes, rivers, and ocean fronts that were useful for locating cannons that might be a formidable deterrence to any invaders. Cannons -- Not only for Defense In times of peace and in remote communities, they were more or less critical points from where cannon shots could be heard throughout the area, to alert the community to important events and news.
