Undercover videos highlight monstrous nature of abortion ‘doctors’

Over the weekend, undercover videos filmed by the anti-abortion group Live Action began popping up on YouTube. The tapes, which were surreptitiously recorded over the last six months, showcase abortion "doctors" in the Washington D.C. area as they casually discuss ending the lives of babies who have managed to survive the abortion process.

Ted Cruz explains how just the threat of filibuster stopped gun control

When GOP Senators killed Rand Paul’s gun control filibuster, conservatives within the party were livid. It was widely viewed as “yet another betrayal” at the hands of the usual suspects – namely John McCain, Lindsey Graham, and their cadre of turncoat RINO’s. Putting it bluntly, constitutionalists are sick and tired of watching their supposed allies capitulate on the very ideals they’re being sent to Washington to defend.

Frank Luntz: talk radio ‘destroying’ Marco Rubio over immigration

Uh-oh. GOP consultant and Fox News pollster extraordinaire Frank Luntz has some 'splainin to do. The far left website Mother Jones has obtained a tape of Luntz, speaking off the record, in which he suggests that conservative talk radio is a "problem." Specifically, he targets Mark Levin and Rush Limbaugh, but the phrase "and others" means he's pretty much lumping them all into his crosshairs.

Rep Tom Cotton: Obama failing in his counter-terrorism mission

Yesterday, Rep. Tom Cotton of Arkansas took to the floor of the House and demanded an answer to a question a lot of people are asking. Why have so many Jihadists been able to reach mainland U.S. targets under President Obama, when the Bush administration had been so successful in stopping them post-9/11?

Harry Reid: Tea Party made up of non-violent anarchists

This is weird. I could have sworn the Tea Party was supposed to be made up of fascist, far-right, radical social conservatives. We've heard Democrats complain for years that they want to take away the rights of minorities, gays, and virtually anyone who dares disagree with their anti-minority beliefs. Supposedly, they despise free speech too.

Chris Matthews: ‘What difference does it make why they did it?’

When the Boston Marathon bombing occurred, Chris Matthews was front and center among those trying to suggest that right-wing extremists were involved.  If you recall, he was salivating over the idea that a possible bombing at the JFK Library was a clue to the ideological leanings of the terrorists.

Libertarians are correct - rights trump Tsarnaev (or, why Dan was wrong this morning)

Right off the bat, let me get this out of the way. There was no martial law. So, this morning, when Dan Calabrese took Libertarians to task for their positions, he was partially correct. When there's a mad bomber running from a few thousand cops, your best bet is to stay out of the way. Hunkering down was probably the smart thing to do. However, the suggestion that this was some kind of Michael Bay movie where the government rolled into the streets and declared true martial law...well, it's just not the case.

CNN - finally - covers Gosnell on Anderson Cooper 360

If you're a member of the mainstream media, the odds are you've completely buried the Kermit Gosnell story. Whether you've hushed the murders of hundreds of babies because you're "pro-choice," because you don't really care, or because Barack Obama once voted to protect many of the same procedures employed by Kermit Gosnell doesn't really matter. You've been willfully negligent in your reporting and, now, you're being shamed into correcting yourself.

Obama’s budget director has no idea how much his budget increases the debt

Yesterday, Jeff Zients, Obama's budget director appeared at a Senate Budget Committee hearing where he was forced to defend the administration’s new plan. He was grilled by Jeff Sessions (R-AL) about the fact that the budget would increase the debt by $8.2 Trillion over the next ten years. Unfortunately, Zients didn't seem to have any idea what his own budget would do to the soaring national debt.

Michigan high school cancels & un-cancels Rick Santorum speech

I'm going to be blunt here. I'm not a Rick Santorum fan. To me, he was the least desirable of the 2012 Republican field. I attended one of his campaign stops here in Southeast Michigan on assignment, and he proved himself to be everything I feel is wrong with the GOP. He places the legislation of morality above the Constitution, state-sponsored religion above individual freedom, and big-government above state sovereignty.

Dismal jobs numbers a ‘punch in the gut’

The March jobs numbers are in, and they're absolutely terrible. The Bureau of Labor Statistics is reporting a positively meager 88,000 jobs were added during the month - a number so small it isn't even enough to keep pace with population growth. Despite that, the overall unemployment number dropped from 7.7 to 7.6%.
