Fifteen-year-old girl absolutely dominates gun control debate in Maryland

Check out this video of a 15-year-old girl speaking in front of a Maryland state legislature gun control hearing. From what we can gather, this took place on March 25th, but has only started going viral in the last 24 hours. Her name has been removed from the beginning of the clip to protect her identity, since she is, after all, a minor.

Sean Hannity and Dana Loesch face the stupidest gun control argument in history

Last night on the Hannity show, Sean hosted a discussion with conservative talk radio host Dana Loesch and liberal California talker Leslie Marshall. Loesch was great as always. Marshall, on the other hand, managed to make the single most moronic argument I've ever heard in a gun control debate.

Live in Connecticut? Own a gun? Get ready to be fingerprinted

Today, Connecticut lawmakers announced that they'd reached a bi-partisan deal on a proposal designed to implement the nation's toughest gun control regulations. The state already has an obviously ineffective "assault weapons" ban but, unsurprisingly, it failed to stop the Newtown shootings. So, Hartford politicians have decided that the only sensible thing to do is pile more laws on top of it.

CBS News: Obama’s just as good at Basketball as he is at Baseball

The link for this vid seems to have changed, so it's been repaired. No conspiracy. CBS knows that Mondays can be tough, and they want to brighten your day. That's why they've uploaded this video of Obama's monumental implosion on the White House basketball court yesterday. Some time between the Easter egg roll and not delivering a budget, The President found a few minutes to take a few 3-point shots and a couple of free throws.

Welcome to Wamsutta Middle School in Attleboro Massachusetts, where bringing a butter knife to school will land you a suspension. That was the fate of 13-year-old student Morgan LaPlaume, who brought the knife with her to cut her pear at lunch. Morgan has braces on her teeth, so she can't just bite into it.

Military spends $5 Million to send Kim Jong-Un a worthless message

On March 7th, following a North Korean underground nuclear test, the UN signed a new round of sanctions targeting Pyongyang. Kim Jong-Un offered his standard, calm, response, calling the sanctions an act of war, and threatening to plunge Seoul and Washington D.C. into a "sea" of nuclear flames. Since then, he's been rattling the sabre through speeches, anti-US propaganda films, and continued threats against the South.

U.S. Government spends $880,000 on snail-sex study

Thanks to the National Science Foundation, we'll soon know a lot more about why, exactly, snails choose to have sex. Obviously, this is a question that's been at the forefront of American curiosity for years and, finally, answers are coming. U.S. taxpayers are giving an $880,000.00 grant to the University of Iowa to study the mating habits New Zealand mud snails, in the hopes of determining why organisms have sex.

Egypt’s Morsi planning to smuggle Al-Qaeda leader Ayman Zawahiri home?

According to a report first published by the Arabic-language website Misr al-Gidida, Egyptian President Mohamed Morsi recently took a secret meeting with Al Qaeda leader Ayman Zawahiri in Islamabad, Pakistan. During their face to face, Morsi allegedly promised that he and operatives from the Muslim Brotherhood would smuggle Zawahiri home to Egypt if he promises to maintain a low profile going forward. After all, Morsi wouldn't want the fact that he was harboring America's number one most-wanted enemy to impact all that financial aid the U.S. sends his country.

Virginia Governor, Republican Bob McDonnell, signs Voter ID into law

Whether you believe voter fraud is a huge problem or just a minor annoyance, there's no way you can argue that it doesn't happen. Virtually every recent election has been marred by reports of people voting under fake names, voting multiple times, or casting fraudulent ballots. Supporters of Voter ID laws have long argued that there's a simple way to stop most of these problems from occurring: require a photo ID from each registered voter in order to cast a ballot.

North Korea working overtime on ‘U.S. invasion’ propaganda films

North Korea really specializes in releasing weird anti-western propaganda films. You may recall the bizarre "We Are the World" spot they created last year. Then a few weeks ago, we saw them release clips showing New York in flames and Barack Obama burning in the wake of an apparent nuclear attack.

IRS spends $60,000 to make the worst Star Trek episode ever

If you're burdened with an almost limitless stream of confiscated taxpayer dollars, there's only one thing to do. Throw a big party, call it a "conference," and tell the public that it's going to boast a wide variety of "training seminars." At least, that's what you do if you're the IRS.
