Dunces in Dearborn denounce free speech and freedom of expression

Freedom of speech and freedom of expression are cornerstones of the American way of life. Both are absolutely fundamental to everything America stands for and has always stood for and without them there would be no America, period.

Obama’s latest Executive Order sets a new low, even for him

Issuing Executive Orders is something President Obama has done on a regular basis since he was elected. These Executive Orders are issued by him unilaterally either because he cannot persuade Congress to agree to a particular course of action or because the Constitution of the United States prohibits him from doing whatever it is he wants to do and he feels it necessary to bypass, ignore or override it to implement his agenda. Or both.

Congratulations on a job well done. And thanks.

Washington D.C. is the capital of the United States but New York City is its beating heart. It's called the Big Apple because that’s exactly what it is, the biggest, most important, most dynamic city in the country. It symbolizes and epitomizes everything America stands for and has always stood for and is the center of the country in virtually every way imaginable. It is also the center of the world in many, many ways and what happens there affects everyone around the globe, not just Americans.

American’s decision simple and straightforward, very stark and clear

U.S. President Obama is lecturing and hectoring European leaders on how to solve the economic crisis there that is threatening to plunge the continent and its countries into bankruptcy and its people into penury and trigger a worldwide depression. He wants Europeans to tax and spend their way out of their economic problems instead of dealing with the deficits, debts and underlying ideological and structural factors that got them in trouble in the first place.

Is Walker’s win in Wisconsin a portent of things to come?

Scott Walker, the Republican Governor of Wisconsin, won a recall election yesterday which was an attempt to repudiate his policies of fiscal discipline and remove him from office. Walker was only the third state governor in American history to face a recall vote and the first one to win. His opponent was a Democrat whom he defeated in the previous election who ran on a platform of overturning Walker’s disciplinary measures and returning Wisconsin to its free spending ways. Voter turnout was extremely heavy throughout the state and Walker won by over seven percentage points, a very large plurality indeed.

Cynicism thy name is Obama

President Obama hasn’t actually said that getting reelected in the upcoming presidential election this November is more important than the national security of the United States but it is patently obvious that this is what he thinks. How else to explain the deliberate leaking by the White House of sensitive, classified information about military operations carried out by the U.S. and its allies against America’s enemies, against Islamic countries such as Iran which would like nothing more than to see the United States defeated and destroyed and its government and way of life replaced with Islam and Islamic law?

Time’s running out

Recent talks in Baghdad between Iran and the P5+1 (the United States, Britain, Germany, France, Russia and China) about Iran’s nuclear program resulted in a defeat for the West and a victory for Iran.

Good

The online edition of the Montreal Gazette ran a story today headlined “518 arrested in biggest crackdown on Montreal student protests”, Gazette, May 24, 2012. Good. Calling the marches, riots and demonstrations which have been taking place in Montreal (and their accompanying violence, vandalism and intimidation) student protests, however, is a gross distortion of the facts. They are anything but.

The real reason Obama won’t get re-elected

In 1991 President Obama’s literary agent produced a booklet which included a biography of him. The booklet clearly stated that he was born in Kenya. The statement remained in his biography until 2007.

Political opportunism of the worst kind

A leak of classified information last week by a person or persons unknown in the Obama administration compromised the national security of the United States.

Individual liberty means freedom ‘to’, not freedom ‘from’

Liberty in America means that Americans possess certain inalienable rights. These include the right to speak freely, the right to express themselves freely, the right to subscribe or not subscribe to religion in general or a given religion in particular, the right to assemble, the right to move, the right to accept or reject whatever orthodoxies and ideologies which are thrust upon them, the right to live their lives as they see fit, the right to be governed by democratically elected representatives of the people and so on...in short, the right to life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness. The key word in this is ‘to’... Americans are free to make their own decisions and live according to their conscience and principles. That is what liberty in the United States means. It is the freedom to do or not do something, anything, the freedom to make choices and act them out.

Usurping Congress and harming Americans yet again

President Obama has violated Section Three of the Palestinian Accountability Act of the United States Congress by authorizing a $192 million aid package to the Palestinian Authority. The Palestinian Accountability Act clearly and unequivocally stipulates that “no funds available to any United States Government or agency...may be obligated or expended with respect to providing funds to the Palestinian Authority.” By signing a Presidential Waiver and authorizing payment of the 192 million dollars Obama is unilaterally going against the law, the will of Congress and the wishes of the American people as expressed by their democratically elected representatives.

Don’t encourage them-giving in to mobs just means more mobs

Students in Quebec have turned to violence to protest against and overturn a proposed modest hike in university tuition by the provincial government. The increase would total $1,625.00 per year per student and would be phased in over seven years at the rate of $232.14 per year. At the end tuition would still be among the lowest in Canada and students in Quebec would still be paying a small fraction of the actual costs of their university education, the rest being borne by taxpayers all across the country.

Obama’s Supreme Court con job

President Obama is trying to convince the American people that the Supreme Court of the United States would be overstepping its bounds if it overturned all or part of Obamacare, his proposed health care law. If the Supreme Court rules that all or part of Obamacare is unconstitutional it will have to be voided and abandoned and cannot be enacted. This would be an enormous political embarrassment and defeat for Obama and could easily cost him any chance of victory in the upcoming 2012 Presidential election.

Obamacare and Obama versus America and Americans

The United States Supreme Court has just heard three days of arguments on whether or not President Obama’s health care bill is legal according to the U.S. Constitution and should therefore be allowed to stand. The Supreme Court is expected to release its decision in June, in the heat of the American Presidential election. The Court has three possible options. It can say that the entire bill is unconstitutional and has to be scrapped, it can say that the bill is constitutional and can go ahead or it can say that parts of the bill are unconstitutional and have to be scrapped but the rest can go ahead.

Can’t believe a word they say

All the lying, covering up and conniving going on in Afghanistan makes it impossible to believe anything that anyone says about what’s really going on there...anyone includes the American military, American politicians and officials and Afghan politicians and officials as well. Lying, covering up and conniving by Afghan politicians and officials is to be expected. It cannot become the norm for Americans, however, and Americans who do these things must be called to account.
