Desperate Army Backpedals on Soldiers Booted Over COVID

Deceptive Abortion Initiative Violates Florida Law

TALLAHASSEE, FL – Liberty Counsel has filed a reply brief on behalf of Florida Voters Against Extremism (FLVAE) urging the Florida Supreme Court to not approve the wording of a proposed amendment that would codify unrestricted abortion as a right in the state’s Constitution. In the reply brief, Liberty Counsel argues that the initiative is misleading and deceptive and violates the single subject rule. In the brief, Liberty Counsel states the sponsor completely sidesteps these legal issues and fails to provide a meaningful rebuttal.

Merritt Criminal Hearing To Dismiss Case This Friday

Wauwatosa Issues Absurd and Unlawful Email To Censor Christmas

WAUWATOSA, WI – Liberty Counsel sent a demand letter to the City of Wauwatosa, Wisconsin, regarding its unconstitutional ban on Christmas holiday symbols, decorations, and expressions within public buildings and by its employees. City officials directed employees in an email to create an “inclusive” environment for all by refraining “from using religious decorations” that are “solely associated with Christmas,” such as red and green colors, when decorating public spaces in city buildings. Liberty Counsel demands the immediate retraction of the ban.

Taxpayers Paying Millions for Child Medical Mutilation

ORLANDO, FL – As the “gender surgery industry” in the United States is expected to grow to $5 billion by 2030, many states are giving the industry tens of millions in taxpayer dollars to reimburse hospitals for harmful puberty

blockers, hormone treatments, and mutilating surgeries administered on children. Researchers at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles reviewed the Medicaid policies for all 50 states and found that at least 25 states were using taxpayer money to cover gender surgeries in February 2021. As of November 2023, at least 26 states allow their Medicaid insurance programs for low-income families to cover medically mutilating procedures on minors.

Court Blocks Law that Banned Abortion Pill Reversal

DENVER, CO – A federal judge blocked Colorado from enforcing its new abortion pill reversal law on a pro-life clinic ruling the law violates the staff’s religious freedoms. Enacted in April 2023, Colorado’s law is the first of its kind in the United States and bars physicians from prescribing medication to help women reverse incomplete chemical abortions to save their unborn babies. The judge’s preliminary injunction only applies to the clinic that brought the lawsuit while the judge considers a permanent injunction.

Georgia Supreme Court Upholds Heartbeat Law

ATLANTA, GA – Yesterday, the Georgia Supreme Court upheld the state’s “heartbeat” law, known as “Living Infants Fairness and Equality (LIFE) Act,” protecting unborn babies with a “detectable human heartbeat,” which can be detected as early as six weeks of pregnancy. The 6-1 ruling reverses a lower court’s decision to nullify the law because it was enacted during the era where abortion was recognized as a constitutional right by the U.S. Supreme Court’s 1973 Roe v. Wade decision. The Georgia’s High Court decision allows the state’s LIFE Act to stay in effect while litigation continues in a lower court.

LC Helps Professor Clear Ethics Probe in COVID Shot Study

EAST LANSING, MI – Liberty Counsel recently helped exonerate a Michigan State University professor after he received allegations that he had used “unethical practices” during a published COVID-19 shot study. The study highlighted a correlation between the COVID shot and nearly 300,000 nationwide fatalities. The peer-reviewed journal BMC Infectious Diseases originally published the study in January 2023, but later retracted it amid the allegations. Despite the study’s retraction, it remains in the top one percent of shared research around the world.

Court Upholds Oklahoma’s Medical Mutilation Ban for Minors

TULSA, OK – Last week, a U.S. District Court judge ruled that Oklahoma can enforce its new law protecting minors from puberty blockers, hormone treatments, and medical mutilating surgeries. While the law was signed last May, it was immediately challenged by five families with gender-confused adolescents and the Oklahoma attorney general voluntarily agreed not to enforce it pending whether the judge upheld or blocked the law. Now that the judge has upheld the law, the attorney general has stated the state will now enforce the law.
