March marks 39th consecutive month of sales growth for Hyundai Canada

MARKHAM, ON, - Hyundai Auto Canada Corp. announced today record March sales of 12,605 units, an 8.0% increase relative to the same month last year. With this most recent result, the company now stands at 39 consecutive months of year-over-year sales growth. With a cumulative total of 29,331 units at the end of the first quarter, Hyundai's year-to-date sales have grown by 8.4% over the corresponding period in 2011.

Majority of Ontarians Support OLG Slots at Racetracks Program and Horse Racing Jobs

During a legislative debate on March 27, 2007, Liberal MPP Vic Dhillon rose in the Legislative Assembly of Ontario and said:
"Our government understands the horse racing industry and the vital role it plays in Ontario. It's a $2-billion industry which is generating 65,000 jobs. Horse racing is an important part of our agricultural sector. The industry supports significant employment and economic benefits to our province." The MPP for Brampton West continued by assuring the Legislature "The McGuinty government will continue to work with the ORC and all industry stakeholders to ensure continued strength, growth and long-term prosperity of the horse racing industry in Ontario."

Employees Fired for Being “Too Religious” Receive Settlement Payment

Atlanta, GA - Hallmark Management Company has settled with Daniel and Sharon Dixon, after firing and evicting them from a property management position for having a piece of artwork hanging in their office that contained a Scripture reference. Liberty Counsel successfully represented the Dixons in the case of Dixon v. Hallmark Companies and will be awarded $76,250.

Department of Justice Drops Appeal and Pays Pro-life Sidewalk Counselor

Washington, DC – The Department of Justice (DOJ) has dropped its appeal in Holder v. Pine against pro-life sidewalk counselor Mary “Susan” Pine, who is represented by Liberty Counsel. The DOJ has agreed to pay $120,000 for this improper lawsuit. The DOJ had unsuccessfully sought thousands of dollars in fines against Susan Pine, as well as a permanent injunction banning her from counseling women on the public sidewalk outside the Presidential Women’s Center (“PWC”) abortion clinic.
