Oil Sands Employment Likely Much Higher than in Clean Energy Sector

A new report on Canada's green energy sector by an organization entitled Clean Energy Canada is receiving favorable attention in the mainstream and social media circles. A clear illustration of the lack of objective analysis done on this report is evident in Richard Blackwell's article at the Globe and Mail. Closer examination of the report illustrates some apparent concerns, and highlights -- yet again -- the need for a return to real journalism in the public interest, rather than just the propagandistic repeating of press releases by organizations having vested interests in the topics they are reporting on.

No excuse for Minister's indifference or inaction on flawed computer software

QUEEN’S PARK – Social Services Minister Helena Jaczek should support the call to re-strike the Estimates Committee so that her frontline staff handling the fall-out from flawed computer software may testify as to what went wrong, says Bill Walker, MPP for Bruce-Grey-Owen Sound and PC critic for Community and Social Services.

Did CNN really cut off Benjamin Watson for saying Jesus is Lord?

Did CNN really cut off Benjamin Watson for saying Jesus is Lord Hard to believe, but your eyes don't lie to you. Benjamin Watson of the New Orleans Saints has a take on the Ferguson situation that is certainly outside the norm established by the mainstream media and its favored narrative. Watson's take involves an honest look at sin and rebellion against God, and when it garnered more than a three quarters of a million likes on Facebook, CNN apparently thought Watson's view was worth exploring in a live on-air interview.

On the First Day of Christmas . . .

It’s the tradition: “Let’s go out and choose a Christmas tree,” you announce. Or perhaps you see the neighbours decorating the Christmas tree growing on their front lawn. Earlier in the year, you described driving through Canada’s vast northern coniferous forests as travelling past Christmas trees. But depending on where you live, that Christmas tree could be any one of twenty or more species.

Still Debunking the Benghazi Debunkers

Still Debunking the Benghazi Debunkers
The Washington Post, like The New York Times, is intent on declaring the Benghazi scandal dead and buried, as suggested in this recent cartoon, and in this more recent editorial. The latest item these papers are hoping will provide the final stamp on the story is a recent report issued by the House Permanent Select Committee on Intelligence.
