Real Gun Control Means Controlling Bad Guys

Why does Prime Minister Harper treat innocent hunters, farmers and sports shooters worse than criminals just because they own guns? He has repeatedly promised the Conservatives would get tough on criminals - not decent, law-abiding Canadians.

Tick, Tick, Tick...

Incrementalism has always been the secret behind the success of the progressive's agenda. Their strategy of coercion and manipulation has often been implemented over extended periods of time whereby the rights and freedoms of the people are slowly changed or taken away so that few notice and wake one morning in full acceptance of their new reality.

Robert Gates Confirms 'Party of Defeat' Narrative

In 2008, authors David Horowitz and Ben Johnson released their book, "Party of Defeat." It chronicled the Democratic Party's duplicitous efforts regarding its initial support for the Bush administration's prosecution of the war in Iraq, followed by their attempts to undermine it--for nothing more than crass political considerations. In a his new book, "Duty: Memoirs of a Secretary at War," former defense secretary Robert M. Gates, who served in both the Bush and Obama administrations, delivers a devastating confirmation of Horowitz's and Johnson's arguments.

Gates’ book exposes Obama’s ‘demolition by neglect’ of our ally Iraq

The new book by former defense secretary Robert M. Gates, Duty: Memoirs of a Secretary at War exposes the folly of President Barack Obama’s handling of our war in Iraq just in time. Iraq is back in the headlines as we harvest the fruits of our abandonment of the Iraqi people and the functioning democracy there that was treated like a true secret by the American press. There is no issue more responsible for the election in 2008 of President Barack Obama than Iraq.

The GOP Needs Major PR

As someone who started out his career as a newspaper reporter and editor, discovering that those in public relations pitching their stories were making much more, it didn’t take long for me to enter that profession. For me, the truth is always the best PR.

The moral evolution of progressives

Boy, have progressives “evolved.” The party of saloon protesters, suffragettes and crusaders against smoking, prostitution and immigration are now the champions of government-regulated vice.

Democrat Senator pressured state to alter ObamaCare numbers

According to the Colorado Division of Insurance, 249,199 Coloradans had their policies cancelled as a result of ObamaCare. At least, that was the number released back on November 6th of last year. At the time, the "If you like your plan you can keep it" story had just exploded, and Dems started doing everything they could to squash unpleasant data. Today, Breitbart and Complete Colorado are reporting that emails have surfaced which show Colorado's Senior Democrat Senator, Mark Udall, pressured the state to revise their numbers to make them appear less damning.

Justice Department puts Obama donor in charge of IRS scandal probe

Last year, when news broke that the IRS had been targeting Tea Party groups in what looked like an effort to help Barack Obama's reelection efforts, the President was outraged. He claimed that the incidents were "inexcusable" and promised a full investigation. His administration wouldn't rest until they'd discovered how something they so clearly condemn could have happened. After all, this was a scandal that struck at the very heart of the electoral process and, if there's one thing Obama loves above all else, it's Democracy.

An abdication of responsibility

When it came to the confirmation of Janet Yellen for Federal Reserve Chair, 56 Senators voted for her and 26 against. Where were the other 18? That is a disgusting display of gutless politics. Eighteen Senators who don't even have the backbone to take a stand.

Service Exports Help Drive Growth in Well-paying Jobs

TORONTO, - While manufacturing has been struggling to recoup job losses, Canada's tradable services sectors have been expanding, providing an increased number of well-paying jobs in Canada in the midst of tough economic times, according to a report released today by the C.D. Howe Institute. In "Tradable Services: Canada's Overlooked Success Story," author Daniel Schwanen finds the relative strength of the Canadian economy has shifted towards the services side, and policy should now seek to exploit that strength. "Tradable services are an area of strength for the Canadian economy, and certainly one of relative success when it comes to exports and the creation of 'good' jobs," commented Schwanen.

Another form of tracking

Are you aware that with some credit cards (maybe all), you will be prohibited from charging if you wander too far from the billing address without notifying the credit card company? This happened to us recently on a purchase of much needed prescription refills.
