Public Shaming of a Hoarding Comrade

Public Shaming of a Hoarding Comrade People used to ask me what we ate when I was growing up in communist Eastern Europe. Women were quite thin and beautiful, on the “Ceausescu diet.” We were not just told how much to eat by decree but food was quite scarce and highly rationed. If a person dared to stash more food than the Communist Party deemed necessary, that person paid dearly in fines and eventually jail. Of course the elite class, in the classless utopia of a socialist country on its way to communism, had its own stores and food supply at low prices, never having to suffer the indignity of a rumbling empty stomach.

Offensive ‘Social Justice’ Corporatist Pandering

Offensive ‘Social Justice’ Corporatist Pandering If I had a dollar for every young and ill-informed brat in this country who believes that our nation is oppressive and in need of a communist “social justice” makeover, supporting the benched quarterback who took a knee during the playing of our National Anthem, I would be rich.

America Fundamentally Transformed

America Fundamentally Transformed In the spring of 2007 I was teaching a small class of non-traditional students, some as young as eighteen and some older than I was. It was an interesting mixture of blacks, whites, Hispanics, civilians and military who had jobs during the day and took classes at night to finish their college degrees. They were not the pampered and entitled snowflakes of today; they were hard-working Americans from all walks of life, some receiving Pell grants and some on military scholarships.

You Cannot Go Home Again

You Cannot Go Home AgainUntold numbers of people and families have escaped totalitarian and oppressive regimes with just the clothes on their backs. Some swam across treacherous rivers; some cut through barbed wire; some hid on the floorboard of a car, some fit into the carved out car seats; some walked across the desert, through dense forests, climbed mountainous terrain, or hiked into steep valleys.

Up and Coming Socialists Don’t Even Know what Socialism Is

Up and Coming Socialists Don’t Even Know what Socialism Is “There is no such thing as a free lunch, someone has to pay for it.” The American socialist politicians are promising their voting constituents Free Stuff through such figures as Bernie Sanders, the politician from Vermont whose economic fortunes have improved drastically since he ran for president, and the socialist Cortez from the Bronx who, although she has a degree from a prestigious and very expensive school, does not know anything about Economics or geopolitics, by her own admission, and shows her lack of knowledge every time she opens her mouth.

Smart Growth and Green Growth--It is Not What You Think

Smart Growth and Green Growth "Global Sustainability requires the deliberate quest of poverty, reduced resource consumption, and set levels of mortality control."--Professor Maurice King Progressives (regressives) have been educating (indoctrinating) our American children for decades, inculcating (forcing) ideas such as political correctness (approved speech), globalism (one world government), global warming/climate change (redistribution of wealth), income equality (confiscation of wealth), resistance (anarchy), social justice (reverse discrimination), and tolerance (intolerance).

Welcome Everyone, Take Our Country

Welcome Everyone, Take Our Country I remember the curiosity and kindness that greeted me in the southern part of the United States in 1978. People went out of their way to meet this foreigner to their lands who came from such a far-away country. Many did not know where my country was but they knew it was an Iron Curtain nation where people lived under religious oppression, could not go to church, have a Bible in their homes, or pray. But they could not fathom the exploitation of the soul, body, and mind that my people had to suffer under totalitarian communism.

If I Could Show You What Communism Is

If I Could Show You What Communism Is This is a wake-up call for young and old Americans, wearing Che Guevara t-shirts, Mao’s hammer and sickle t-shirts, holding “I support socialism” posters, and proudly displaying Hillary and Bernie bumper stickers, the ole Bernie who hates capitalism so much that he accepts political donations from evil capitalists, drives expensive cars, and owns and lives in pricey homes most of his supporters cannot afford.

Hysteria, Hate, and Histrionics Defines the Left

https://howlingforjustice.files.wordpress.com/2011/04/hysteria.jpg?w=450&h=338 Lacking any substance and sinking deeper into the abyss of irrelevance, the Democrat Party’s platform seems to be defined by the cause of defending illegal aliens over Americans, invaders who have broken our laws by crossing the border illegally. Mexican officials and liberals claim that immigration of any kind is a human right.

Heartbreaking for 1970s Immigrants Saying Goodbye To The America They Once Knew

Heartbreaking for 1970s Immigrants Saying Goodbye To The America They Once Knew The first Americans I've met, Pam and her husband James from Chicago worked with my dad at the refinery. He was an engineer from a small family and she followed him to this God-forsaken country where everyone seemed to be a prisoner. They appeared friendly in a plastic way, smiling all the time for no apparent reason, totally unconcerned about the misery of the oppressed Romanians around them, barely surviving under communism.

Progressivism Making America Worse

Progressivism Making America Worse Americans are bored with their abundant lifestyle. Western civilization is bored with its wealth, bucolic life, and success. Academics and Hollywood elites have taken it upon themselves to bring all this success and wealth down a few notches if not to the bottom rung of the prosperity ladder.

Cellphone Misadventure – They Track You Anyway

Cellphone Misadventure – They Track You Anyway I go to the “slug” line, a little busier than usual. I fumble for my iPhone and drop it carelessly in my pocket as a white non-descript SUV pulls up. The driver indicates that I sit behind her, a move against safety protocol. It is a very crowded back bench with a child’s seat and assorted junk stacked high, obviously a rushed attempt at cleaning this morning. I listen to my usual podcast with my head-set on.

How Socialist School Teachers Brainwashed the Snowflake Generation

How Socialist School Teachers Brainwashed the Snowflake Generation While the left is busy demonizing President Trump for his remarks about the MS-13 gangs who enter our country illegally through the porous southern border, Congressional members, working against the safety interests of the American people and cheered by the leftist media and half of the voting population, are doing their best to stall, defund, and vilify any effort by our president to build a border wall and to deport the illegal criminal elements who are already in this country and have committed atrocious crimes.

Competition and Meritocracy Still the Key for Success

Competition and Meritocracy Still the Key for Success Competition for survival and success are inscribed in our DNA. We are born to compete. Humans who put forth more effort are more likely to succeed. Others are satisfied with less, act accordingly, become followers, and complain bitterly about the eventual outcome and their station in life.

My Take on the Teacher of the Year Award

My Take on the Teacher of the Year Award As a former teacher, I was annoyed but not at all surprised by the choice for this year's Teacher of the Year Award. The recipient with a political agenda showed the nation what an "exceptional teacher" looks like. With her boorish and rude behavior during the ceremony at the White House, she bashed and disrespected our President in front of the entire nation and in front of school children who look up to teachers like her to be objective. Yet many indoctrinate their students into their twisted political world eight hours a day, not into the American-exceptionalism that they should.

The Soviets’ Inner Wall, One of the Deadliest Border Walls in History

The Soviets’ Inner Wall, One of the Deadliest Border Walls in History …'from Stettin on the Baltic to Trieste on the Adriatic, an Iron Curtain has descended over Europe' – speech made by Winston Churchill in 1946 in Fulton, Missouri At the end of World War II, the victorious Allies divided Germany from 1945 to 1949 into four sections, each administered by a different allied country, in order to prevent the spread of Nazism (National Socialism).

Today’s classroom puts politics first, education last

Today’s classroom puts politics first, education last If you’ve ever been marginalized by progressives for your conservative views, for your anti-communist teaching philosophy and other divergent opinions, you were not alone. If you’ve worked in highly progressive academic environments and were not re-hired as adjunct, granted tenure, or were not even considered for tenure unless you belonged to organizations such as the NEA, AFT, or other Democrat-supporting organizations, you were not alone.

Bacon and a Year without Summer

Bacon and a Year without Summer I’m placing the thickly sliced uncured bacon in the pan and, when it begins to sizzle, the marvelous aroma fills the house. It is a memory from my childhood when Grandma Elena would render bacon fat into lard in her tiny kitchen. It was a preservative for chunks of pork she would seal with wax in glass jars that would feed us for an entire year. It was stored in the cellar, the dank, damp, and constantly cool place. We did not need refrigerators and could not have afforded one anyway.
