If you've been following the Robert Mueller investigation in alleged Trump-Russia collusion, you're no doubt familiar with Peter Strzok And Lisa Page. They're the two anti-Republican, pro-Democrat, and fiercely anti-Trump FBI investigators who were working with Mueller's team. They were also instrumental in the FBI's go-nowhere investigation into Hillary Clinton's server. Their back-and-forth communications brought to light the supposed existence of an "insurance policy" in case Trump managed to with the 2016 presidential election.
The current government shutdown, which is no big deal but is presented by the media as a mini-apocalypse, is almost entirely the work of Chuck Schumer. Yes, Nancy Pelosi helped, but it looks like Schumer is really the ringleader. As Dan wrote here, Democrats got all excited about having the votes to shut down the government, and they did just that.
If you spend your days following, dissecting, and writing about politics, you get used to bombast and hyperbole. Democrats have turned it into an art form.

Democrats just love transparency. They're completely open, honest, and forthright at every opportunity. Assuming, that is, that the transparency in question benefits their party, its members, or its agenda. If it doesn't....
CNN should really stop doing these panels. They want voters to express their sorrow, their contrition, and their love of journalism. It never goes that way. In fact, it seems like every time they put one of these groups together, it blows up in their face in spectacular fashion.
If you believe most people on the left, and Planned Parenthood in particular, "a person" isn't really "a person" until they've been completely removed from their mother's womb and the cord has been cut. Up until that moment, and perhaps even beyond, they're "an unviable tissue mass." Pro-abortion dogma states that they're nothing more than a clump of cells. They're not alive, so there's no "death" involved in ending a pregnancy.
I supported Donald Trump because he was the only chance we had to seat a strict constructionist on the Supreme Court - full stop. That was it. For me, the idea of allowing Hillary Clinton to stack the bench against the U.S. Constitution was absolutely horrific. Trump was the only thing that could stop that, so the decision was obvious.
