Years ago, it was widely suspected that Dem-friendly media personalities were coordinating their narrative across multiple networks, shows, and publications. They swore they weren't, claiming that they were just doing the Lord's work by delivering honest, hard-hitting journalism. Conservatives didn't by that line. It simply seemed too weird that, suddenly, they'd all start saying the same things, at the same time, on the same day.

Last week we heard the rumblings. John Kasich, the Governor who won't go away, the man whose father was a mailman, was thinking about the many ways in which he could easily become President in 2020. Last year, he was ruling it out but now, thanks to what he calls dysfunction in the Trump White House, Kasich's language has softened. It's possible, however ridiculous, that he might be planning to primary Trump as a Republican, or abandon the party and run as an independent.
What in the hell is going on at the FBI.
Yesterday, we talked about how the FBI received a tip regarding a YouTube post supposedly made by Parkland Florida shooter Nikolas Cruz back in September. In it he claimed he wanted to become a "professional school shooter." The FBI, allegedly, made cursory inquiries into the matter and then dropped it.
A few weeks ago, news broke that Trey Gowdy would be leaving politics, abandoning his House seat, and heading off to an unspecified career in the justice system. Yesterday, in an interview with CNN's Alisyn Camerota, Gowdy said he misses his old job where, as he put it, "facts matter."
The cult of Romney is enjoying its own private rapture this morning, as the thing they've been demanding since 2015 is finally happening. Mitt Romney has returned to the political stage, and has announced his campaign for the Utah Senate seat held by the retiring Orrin Hatch.
Yesterday, Ted Cruz appeared on Fox and Friends where he blasted Republicans who are trying to - in his words - gallop to the left o Barack Obama's immigration policy. As the Senator puts it, DACA gave work permits to around 600,000 illegals. That was unconstitutional, and bad enough, but now some Republicans are trying to out-Obama the former President by lining up to support bills that give citizenship to almost 1.8 million illegals.
You don't "need" a gun. You don't "need" the 2nd Amendment. Firearm ownership, and the document that protects that right, are outdated and in need of a revamp. Here in the future, you should give up your rights - because the authorities will protect you.
As I've written several times before, kids used to bring their guns to school all the time. Most schools in the 40's and 50's - and many schools all the way until the 70's, had gun clubs. Kids brought their weapons to school on the bus, placed them in lockers, and went to the range after school. There were virtually no shootings.
Until recently, the phrase "chain migration" was used by just about everyone to describe the process by which immigrants were bringing their families to the United States. It was, and is, a completely benign descriptor. It doesn't infer race, religion, or merit. It's simply about method.

Like pretty much every Democrat, there was a time when New York Senator Kirsten Gillibrand loved to tell people how she was pro-Second Amendment and hawkish on immigration. You've heard most of her old lines from any one of a hundred leftists - all of which you probably knew were lying. She prattled on about her family's history of hunting, yakked about how we needed a stronger border, and generally parroted the conservative-lite line.

She oversees North Korea's propaganda machine, and she's become something of the "it girl" for people who are willing to overlook the fact that she's basically a modern-day Joseph Goebbels.

She's the propaganda chief for North Korea and an integral part of one of the planet's most horrifically brutal regimes, but they don't care. According to the press, she's "totes adorbs" and had a few swell days pushing her "charm offensive" at the Olympics.
I haven't listened to Rush Limbaugh in a long, long, time. Between the site, my family, and various other projects I'm working on, I'm generally too busy for afternoon radio. On the rare chance that I have some politics-free "me time," I'm digging crates at the local record store or pulling something from my record collection to put on the turntable.
A few years ago, when Rand Paul launched into his epic filibuster, Republicans were ecstatic. They applauded, they tweeted #StandWithRand until their fingers bled, they stayed up all night watching, and they cheered until they were hoarse. Back then, there was a Democrat in the White House. Now, there's Donald Trump. Since he's at least nominally a Republican, congressional GOP members saw Rand Paul approach the microphone and the look of dread was obvious.
"Collusion, collusion, Russia, Russia, Putin, collusion, Russia all the things, collusion, red menace, collusion, former KGB, collusion." That's been the Democrat mantra for well over a year now. Trump is evil and is only in office because the Soviet Bear put him there. It's all nonsense. Hillary lost because she's horrible and her own party didn't want her to be the nominee - end of story.
