Uh oh: Middle East allies Obama expects to fight ISIS on ground don't trust him

Many of us focused Wednesday on President Obama’s insistence that the United States will provide air power only in the fight against ISIS, and will expect other nations to do the fighting on the ground. We talked a lot about how foolish it is to concede such an important strategic option to the enemy before the fighting even starts, and worse yet, to publicly tell the enemy you’re doing so.

There is no domestic strategy either

The Obama administration and the Democrats are still trying to "walk back" the president’s statement that "we have no strategy" to deal with ISIS. This shocked those of us paying attention to the brutality of the ISIS rampage through Iraq, the highly publicized beheadings of Americans, and direct threats to kill more Americans and eventually attack the U.S. here at home.

Obama will wait until after the election to illegally change immigration policy

Apparently Barack Obama no longer even feels the need to pretend he is governing. Granted, it’s been a while since anyone was fooled on that score, but you’re getting pretty blatant when you go ahead and announce that your latest plan to abuse your power for political gain is going to have to wait until after the election.

Obama: 'Better off by every measure!'; Biden: 'Not growing, poor wages!'

If you haven't heard of the KSI (keep saying it) principle, it works like this: No matter how absurd the thing is that you want people to believe, just keep saying it, and eventually enough of them will. Barack Obama may not be a master of this technique, but he certainly is committed to it.

Designed to thrive, America is just surviving

Our destiny as a nation is not to just survive but to thrive. That destiny is embedded in our founding principles as the Declaration of Independence, our Constitution and our free market system. But our Founders knew that it would be a challenge to stick to those principles due to the natural tendencies of government.

Three moments that define Obama's unserious approach to Russia

As Russia marches into Ukraine – in complete defiance of western condemnations and the recognized order expected in civilized society – I can’t help but recall three moments that seem to define where we’ve come to in the U.S./Russian relationship:

Democrats in denial: ObamaCare clearly killing jobs

It is often said that liberals don’t understand economic incentives. If they did, it’s presumed, they would have known that ObamaCare would destroy jobs by making labor more expensive.

Great health insurance not allowed by Democrats

You have often heard conservatives talk about how ObamaCare has made health insurance in this country worse, and that’s true. But did you know that in the case of many people, that was the idea?

Rest in peace, and thank you, Robin Williams

When I heard the news late yesterday afternoon about the death of actor and humorist Robin Williams, I was as surprised as most people. My first thought was that the world has lost another great and inspiring personality, and I prayed that his family would be comforted during this time of grief and acceptance.

Clark Howard's 3 tips to stop Russian hackers from stealing your identity

In case you hadn't heard, Russian hackers have managed to steal the passwords and other crucial data of more than 1.2 billion people from the Internet. Apparently a lot of Russians were very well trained in computer technology, but there aren't enough jobs for them all. So they sit around coming up with trouble to cause! (Putin should love these guys.)

My advice to African business leaders on common success factors

I spoke on Monday at the U.S.-Africa Leaders Summit, which was a great event designed in part to help African business owners gain insight on how to succeed at their various endeavors. With all the success the U.S. economy has historically had, African business leaders want to learn from us. I think we should be glad to share what we know, so it was an honor to be invited.
