The Declaration of Independence, Out of control governmental health care law

All thirteen and thirteen for all



Isn’t it ironic that the beginning of this nation, “The United States of America” was founded by a courageous 13 colonies? Now, another assault, every bit as great as that faced when “The Declaration of Independence” was completed and it now is 2010. March 23rd, 2010 another courageous 13 “States” have fired a shot across the bow of an invading force, symbolized by an out-of-control governmental health care law.

Their uprising comes in the way of a law suite representing their 13 States, but more symbolically the larger part of the United States population and States. As in the first “Preamble” to our Constitution, this law suit against the federal government represents more than just a law granting Congress and the President unprecedented control of persons and health care. It represents a massive series of controls imposed on individuals and free exchange. Banking, housing, manufacturing, conscience, health care, international trade and treaties, now in the hands and control of the government, leaving, in reality, nothing for the governed. So far are they out of their constitutional mandate, the people, as a whole, have lost confidence As in the original battles for the freedom our founding fathers fought for, there was no one item alone that signified a loss of self destination, but rather a series of controls and the stripping of self determination. So it now is time to restate the words sent to the oppressors of past. This time perhaps we can accomplish our goals without bloodshed, as long as the one remaining peaceful part of our system stays preserved, the courts.
“We the People of the United States, in Order to form a more perfect Union, establish Justice, insure domestic Tranquility, provide for the common defence, promote the general Welfare, and secure the Blessings of Liberty to ourselves and our Posterity, do ordain and establish this Constitution for the United States of America.”
The “Fourth Branch” of government, “The People” as stated in the “Declaration of Independence”, second paragraph instills us with rights of self determination when the avenues are beyond “The Constitution” and beyond reasonable compromise.
“We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable Rights, that among these are Life, Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness. That to secure these rights, Governments are instituted among Men, deriving their just powers from the consent of the governed, That whenever any Form of Government becomes destructive of these ends, it is the Right of the People to alter or to abolish it, and to institute new Government, laying its foundation on such principles and organizing its powers in such form, as to them shall seem most likely to effect their Safety and Happiness. Prudence, indeed, will dictate that Governments long established should not be changed for light and transient causes; and accordingly all experience hath shewn that mankind are more disposed to suffer, while evils are sufferable than to right themselves by abolishing the forms to which they are accustomed.”
Those that forget the past are bound to relive it.

Something to say in retirement to keep the sanity we have come to love.  I’m a conservative and marketer, since age 5 and Vietnam Vet. 1964-1968 U.S.N..  Living in the Houston area 32 years with a Multi-National Oil Co., SF Ca. for 10 years, in Fla. 18 years and born in N.Y.
