Link Canadians students with soldiers serving overseas

B’nai Brith Canada marks Remembrance Day with launch of annual Operation Thank You Campaign

B’nai Brith Canada is marking Remembrance Day by launching its annual Operation Thank You campaign, a national initiative to link Canadians students with soldiers serving overseas, as a concrete way of showing our appreciation for their dedication and courage.

“On this day of remembrance for fallen Canadian soldiers, we pause to remember those who lost their lives in previous wars fighting to combat the forces of hatred and oppression, and to uphold principles of freedom and democracy. We also remember the men and women in our military who are right now risking their lives fighting for these same principles,” commented Frank Dimant, Executive Vice President, B’nai Brith Canada. “Our soldiers make enormous sacrifices, sometimes paying with their lives, to ensure that we can all live safely and securely at home. We encourage Canadians to get involved in Operation Thank You, an initiative that provides soldiers with requested supplies and encourages students to write letters to them. “B’nai Brith Canada is very appreciative of our military. We aim through Operation Thank You to express our thanks and support our troops overseas.” For further information on Operation Thank You and to register to receive a copy of the classroom-based curriculum that accompanies this initiative, please visit bnaibrith.ca.
