MSNBC’s Nora O’Donnell

Bonehead Of The Day

At the Southern Republican Leadership Conference, Newt Gingrich criticized the president saying, “shooting three-point shots may be clever, but it doesn’t put anybody to work. What we need is a President, not an athlete. We need somebody who actually focuses on getting people back to work.”

I agree. Instead of making a point of being videotaped playing hoops on a CBS morning show, President Obama should be working at putting people back to work. I think the point is valid, but MSNBC’s Nora O’Donnell not only took offense to the comment but also managed to put her foot in her mouth (again).
But I’m not sure what he means by this particular soundbite and I think it’s open to some criticism because it suggests that the President is an athlete and some people may suggest, you know, because all black people are good athletes. I mean that’s what it sort of sounds like to me.
… all black people are good athletes.” Now, if a Republican said “all black people are good athletes” I wonder what kind of high-pitched squealings we’d get out of Norah O’Donnell, not to mention her fellow MSNBC, race-baiting hacks. As I find her comments laughable enough to render her status as a news personality a joke, I won’t say she’s a racist. That would be an insult to racists.
