The California Attorney General has overstepped the law by bringing these baseless charges

California Charges Two Who Recorded Planned Parenthood

SAN FRANCISCO - Yesterday, the California Attorney General issued a 15-count felony indictment claiming that the two pro-life journalists, Sandra "Susan" Merritt, represented by Liberty Counsel, and David Daleiden, violated state law by recording Planned Parenthood officials regarding the sale of baby body parts. The allegations say Merritt and Daleiden filmed 14 people without permission between October 2013 and July 2015 in Los Angeles, San Francisco and El Dorado counties. One felony count was filed for each person. The 15th charge was for criminal conspiracy to invade privacy.
In another California county, the company purchasing baby body parts is facing a state lawsuit for violation of California law. The company, Stem Express, purchased baby body parts from Planned Parenthood and prepared a sales catalog to market the human organs, even to the point of running specials on body parts. Liberty Counsel previously represented Merritt in the criminal indictment in Texas, which was dismissed, and continues to represent Merritt against Planned Parenthood's civil lawsuit in San Francisco. "The California Attorney General has overstepped the law by bringing these baseless charges. Ideology should not trump the law, but I am afraid that is what happened in the state's charges. Our client did not violate any law," said Mat Staver, Founder and Chairman of Liberty Counsel."The California Attorney General has overstepped the law by bringing these baseless charges
