A UK Telegraph column asks, “Why is there no looting in Japan?” Writer Ed West seems to know little about the Japanese culture and his ignorance is on full display.

As someone who’s lived there, I can say the Japanese are the most honorable people I’ve experienced. The ills of moral equivalence that’s used to excuse all manner of improper behavior in the West is absent in Japan: something the intellectually-superior Western arrogance must have a hard time grasping.
