Congress and Obama, Save Our Country, Protect Our Borders

In my email today was a message from Roy Beck, strong-hearted President of NumbersUSA.com, a vigilant and rock-hard supporter of the America that once flourished on this North American continent now plagued with blatant lawlessness and futility for its many good, honest, hard-working citizens.

Beck and Numbers have been sending messages to real Americans who live in all parts of our nation. They have the best interests of all of the people at heart and the motivation to spur us into needed actions to keep us aware of the dangers surrounding us and the ways we can take actions to prevent their expansion. Beck’s message today was about four alert Congressmen from widely separated districts such as New York, Utah, Washington and Texas who have taken action in Congress to help relieve some well-intentioned, but terribly misguided lawful restrictions that seriously hamper the effective control of our borders. These gentlemen, all Republicans, from the states as shown above, are Peter King, Bob Bishop, Doc Hastings and Lamar Smith. You may have noticed that ironically, only one border state is represented; that of Mr. Smith of Texas. It makes one wonder if the elected U. S. Representatives of the other border states are so against the people of the United States that they declined to be a part of its protections against lawlessness. As Roy Beck stated in his email, “Today, four Members of Congress introduced a simple bill that they believe will greatly increase the safety of Americans living near the border, while improving the health of the natural environment.“ The bill, H. R. 5016 as submitted would prevent one U. S. government agency from stopping another U. S. government agency while it was trying to put a halt to the border crossing of illegal aliens. Numbers USA showed the short bill in its entirety as follows: “Neither the Secretary of Interior nor the Secretary of Agriculture shall impede, prohibit, or restrict activities of the Secretary of Homeland Security on public lands to achieve operational control (as defined in section 2(b) of the Secure Fence Act of 2006 (8 U.s.C. 1701 note; Public Law 109-367) over the international land and maritime borders of the United States.” The four Congressmen showcased the recent killing of an Arizona border property owner, allegedly perpetrated by aliens while in the process of illegally crossing into our country and across the land owned by Robert Krentz. The path that was being taken by the uninvited foreigner was through the U. S. Government owned land, the San Bernardino Wildlife Refuge that borders on Mexico. As Beck reported, the Congressmen explained “that the agency managing that large refuge severely restricts the Border Patrol's access. The Mexican drug cartels that control most of the Mexican side of the border are well aware that the wildlife refuge is a virtual illegal-traffic sanctuary in which illegal aliens can tromp through with impunity. Tragically and ironic, the best routes for drug smugglers, slave traders, cheap-labor traffickers and terrorists are across 20.7 million acres along the border owned by the U.S. government. ” This certainly appears to be one of those cases where our worst enemy is not the invader who crosses our borders illegal with unknown goals of disobedience, but the government itself, with misplaced priorities for our protection. Those government agents who are charged with the responsibility of keeping our lands designated for the safety of animals and plants rightfully carry out their duties to ensure that protection is secured. But when the time comes that protecting an endangered animal or exotic and rare plant-life is more important than the salvation and protection of our citizens’ lives and property, we should act on the side of the taxpaying citizens who through taxes, pay for that protection. And as Roy Beck points out, that allowing these swarms of illegal aliens to plow through these protected environments only to leave huge deposits of trash, toxic waste, destruction of plant-life, soil erosion and wildfires is counter-productive. And ANY loss of human life of our country’s citizens just adds more grief to the dilemma. The current Administration of Mr. Obama seems to be uncaring and almost at times, in favor of protecting the lives of the illegal aliens more so than our citizens and their properties. What is it going to take to make the liberal Democrats in Congress realize that we must STOP these uninvited illegal entrants from ruining our county? Is all this grief and destruction worth the additional votes you might get? And when they begin to outnumber us, how are you going to control them? Wake up and think American for a change.
