Little Rock, AR – The nation’s leading grassroots military-support organization, Move America Forward, is joining the Judicial Action Group and Tea Party Express in calling on Arkansas U.S. Senators Mark Pryor and Blanche Lincoln to oppose the nomination of Elena Kagan to the United States Supreme Court. The groups will be discussing why they are exerting pressure to oppose Kagan, and announcing details of a major TV ad buy.

Military families and their supporters are extremely displeased President Barack Obama has chosen Solicitor General Elena Kagan to join the U.S. Supreme Court, and they are urging the United States Senate to defeat her nomination. Set to appear at today’s Little Rock news conference to express the organization’s opposition, former Navy S.E.A.L., Benjamin Smith, said, “It is an outrage to every military man and woman that a person such as Elena Kagan would withhold support for our military at a time of war against Islamic terrorism to benefit her own liberal political views. She clearly lacks good judgment and should not be confirmed to the Supreme Court.” PRESS CONFERENCE DETAILS: Tuesday, July 13 at 10:00AM Arkansas State Capitol (Front Steps) Woodlane and Capitol 600 Interstate 30, Little Rock, AR The groups gathering tomorrow oppose Kagan on four major premises: 1. Kagan has zero experience as a judge 2. At Harvard, Kagan treated terrorists’ lawyers better than our own U.S. military 3. Kagan asked the Supreme Court to ignore the law and re-write it so as to impose her own “gay rights” agenda 4. Kagan favors foreign law over our own U.S. Constitution For further details, please contact Danny Gonzalez at (714) 926-6189 or Danny@MoveAmericaForward.org
