imageThere’s a Christmas Tree already displayed in most churches in the joyful Advent leading to the Birthday of the Saviour. By Christmas Eve, The Nativity will be on the altar. For Christians worldwide, The Nativity and Christmas Tree are the long established symbols heralding the Birth of Jesus Christ. For the past half century or so, bureaucracies bowing down to activist groups have worked to ban Nativity displays and Christmas Trees from the Public Square. Thousands turned up to take a cheering stand to keep their Nativity display in Athens, Texas this week. Authorities work to remove the Athens Nativity on the basis of a single complaint from an unidentified teenager.
Those who flock in record numbers to their local churches on Christmas Eve and Christmas Day where attendance is often standing room only, are living testament to the fact that The Nativity and Christmas Tree are here to stay. Marxist strategy works to ban both Nativity and Christmas Tree. Indeed the Marxist mindset, should it succeed, would kill forever the symbols heralding the Birth of Jesus Christ and over time, wipe out all memory of them. In the case of the Christmas tree Marxists morph the Christmas tree into the ‘Holiday Tree’. For Christmas 2011, we finally came to know what a ‘Holiday Tree’ is.

It stands in secular splendour--all 63-feet of it--at the U.S. Capitol Grounds, where it’s been since Dec. 6. Unknowingly, many people have even taken pictures of it. If it weren’t for CNSNews.com’s Terence P. Jeffrey we may never have known what a “Holiday Tree” really looks like.
“The 63-foot Sierra White Fir that was lighted at the U.S. Capitol Grounds on Dec. 6 as the official 2011 Capitol Christmas tree includes a prominently displayed ornament paying homage to President Barack Obama, but includes no ornament readily visible to a person standing near the tree’s base that uses the word “Christmas”, or includes an image of the Nativity, or bears the name or image of Jesus Christ.” (CNSNews.com, Dec. 19, 2011). “On the north side of the tree--at a height of about four feet and easily visible to people standing near it--there is an ornament that says “I ♥ President Obama.”
And just to think that we thought the cult that surrounded the anti-American Obama on a stage ginned up to look like Greek columns were kidding when they tried to portray him back in 2008 as “The Messiah”. With Congress forbidden to use the word “Christmas” on its cards to constituents, Christmas trees banned from town squares and shopping malls, the words “Merry Christmas” replaced by “Happy Holidays”, the display of The Nativity banned, how long was it before the Christmas Tree officially became the ‘Holiday Tree’? How did we even get from Christmas Tree to ‘Holiday Tree’? It began with a change in name. The Anti-Christian, Anti-Christmas Movement began trying to force the change in lexicon on pop culture way back when. The move to kill the Christmas tree is based on the same kind of principle that if you tell a big lie often enough it someday becomes the truth. There are those who scoff that they’ll never take The Nativity and the Christmas Tree out of being. Yet the ‘Holiday Tree’ has already reached a crescendo this year with the official 2011 Capitol Christmas tree that, in essence, openly mocks Christmas and Christianity. Nowhere on the first official ‘Holiday Tree’ is there any sign of the name or image of Jesus Christ; nowhere can the word “Christmas” be found. Last year it was ornaments on the Obama family’s White House Christmas tree depicting mass murderer Mao Zedong and cross gender ones. This year, the ‘Holiday Tree’ pushed the Christmas tree into the back seat--right on Capitol grounds. While the tree paying homage to a president stands, the president will not be in Washington but on a $4 million Hawaiian vacation. But as someone called Barry Soetoro must know down deep, you can’t radically change something by merely changing its name. People who flock to the official 2011 Capitol Christmas Tree won’t feel the same way about it as all those who have been coming to view the tree since 1964 once they realize it isn’t about Christmas. The Regime Order to have it called the ‘Holiday Tree’ will also fail. People will soon call it by the name they wish to hear associated with its Marxist creator: “Pariah”. There’s a world of difference between the names ‘Pariah’ and ‘Messiah’ that not even Marxism can change.
