Coal and steel in Europe - coal and lead in America: Citizens are taking a back seat to globalist ambitions by the ruling class

Ending National Sovereignty One Industry at a Time

"In the next century, nations as we know it will be obsolete; all states will recognize a single, global authority. National sovereignty wasn't such a great idea after all." -- Strobe Talbot, Bill Clinton's Deputy Secretary of State, Time, July 20th, 1992. Despite the recent Brexit vote on the British Isles, the European Union still maintains its stranglehold on most of the old continent, and this über-nation has overridden the wishes of the member state's public to varying degrees on different issues. Immigration is perhaps the most obvious, where European countries are being forced into accepting Islamic invaders as the price of European citizenship. The E.U. dominates so many aspects of life within its sphere, be it the prices of commonplace goods, the way things are made, bought, sold, etc. Even items like bananas must have a specific curve to them, one imposed by Brussels. While the national governments still exist, they have voluntarily subsumed their authority into the collective, and eventually, if the plan continues, the member nations will cease to exist as anything but provinces. An empire is being backdoored through the guise of a trade association.
This was by design. In 1951, the European Coal and Steel Association was established. The idea behind this was simple; the French, weary of the animosity between themselves and their German neighbors and fearful of remilitarization, came up with the bold idea of making war impossible by linking their economies together in an anaconda like embrace. One member wouldn't dare attack the other if it wrecked both of their economies. This was closely followed by the European Atomic Energy Community. In 1957, the Treaty of Rome was signed, turning the coal and steel entente into the European Economic Community aka the Common Market. Britain joined in 1973.In 1975, the European Council was instituted. In 1979, the European Monetary System was created, and a European parliament was elected. After experiencing continued growth, the Italians proposed an European Union in 1984. Although it failed at the time, it set the stage for the formal establishment of the E.U. in 1992. It didn't start as a pseudo imperium; it started with coal and steel. And the amalgamation of Europe was always a Progressive, internationalist project, a way to link the world together with an eye on the creation of world government under the U.N. The E.U. was the model for a more robust internationalist order. the fundamental assumption is that the nation-state is obsolete, and by creating continental governments we will have the framework for a true world government. It's just a small step.

In 2008 then-candidate Barack Obama said:
“If someone wants to build a new coal-fired power plant they can, but it will bankrupt them because they will be charged a huge sum for all the greenhouse gas that’s being emitted.”
President Obama went on to do precisely that. I live in the purple state of Missouri, and we had the largest coal companies in the world based in St. Louis. Arch Coal, the second largest in America, is now in chapter 11 bankruptcy. Ditto the largest coal company on Earth, Peabody Energy. Granted, the Hydraulic Fracturing revolution has put serious pressure on the coal industry as natural gas is very cheap, but draconian regulations of the coal market have done their damage - as Obama promised. Hillary Clinton offers no better; when asked what her policies would be toward American coal - and coal miners - she replied:
“We’re going to put a lot of coal miners and coal companies out of business.”
And we must not forget that Bill Clinton closed off most of the really clean coal deposits when he signed an Executive Order turning 1.7 million acres of land in southwest Utah into the Grand Staircase-Escalante National Monument. Interestingly enough one of his big foreign donors - James Riady - controlled much of the rest of this type of coal in Indonesian mines. So Missouri suffers from the ambitions of Bill, Hillary, and Obama. The working class are the ones paying the price, too. If this isn't reason enough to vote for Donald Trump I don't know what is. Oh wait! I do! In addition to being a coal producer Missouri is home to the largest lead mining belt in the world. Now lead is a very important metal; it is used in medical technology, is put in prop-driven airplane fuel, and is a critical part of most large batteries. With the push to develop electric automobiles one would think the American lead industry would be sacrosanct. But recently the last lead smelter in the United States closed down as a result of onerous regulations. That lead smelter, by the way, was in Missouri. Former Congressman Allen West thinks this is an attempt to backdoor gun control, because it will increase the cost of bullets. While I admire Mr. West greatly, I think he's wrong; most bullets are made from recycled lead, taken from batteries. Of course, the prices will rise if we have to import lead (from China, most likely, although it may come from Australia) but it will not likely drive prices up THAT high. But that doesn't matter overmuch, because what it does is make America dependent on foreign smelters. That will necessarily impact our production of unprocessed ore, and it will make our batteries more expensive. It will reduce our availability of Avgas, the fuel used by prop-drive aircraft. In an era where we being shepherded to electric vehicles it gives foreign nations power over our transportation.

Strange; we were told to adopt alternative fuels to make our selves more independent, and yet we are being forced into greater dependency in so doing. In 2009, we spent $51 billion dollars on green tech. One of the primary differences between a First World country and a Third World one is that the First World nation has an industrial base, can provide such things as processed materials. A Third World nation exports raw materials. If America is moving toward exporting raw materials and does not produce things we are becoming a Third World country. And electric vehicles must use leaded batteries because other sorts of batteries are far too expensive. By eliminating our last lead smelter we have damaged our national security as well as driving up the costs of the very thing they demand we use. If the EPA and our government was serious about "green technology" they would support American lead. But they are doing their best to kill it. Now, this has been in the works for longer than Obama has been in office. Over ten years ago I spoke with a real estate agent in the lead belt who told me how it worked. He said they were systematically closing the Doe Run facilities because of birth defects and lower I.Q. among the local population. But as he pointed out, this was a very insular area until recently, which causes the same problems. It was all blamed on lead, but was it lead that was causing this? Maybe, maybe not. So what is the connection with the European Common Market? Well, the E.U. didn't spring from a popular political movement but rather a long-trending Anschluss of economies. It was cobbled together in a manner reminiscent of Viktor Frankenstein, stitching mismatched dead tissue into a corporeal parody to create a monster. The idea was to make the economies interdependent so the member countries could not refuse an ever closer relationship. World government will only come when the rich nations are no longer able to provide what they need for themselves,. That is what is happening here. And by giving the ability to control part of the market to the developing nations we create a more “fair” distribution of the world’s wealth. It’s the implementation of U.N. Agenda 21. From the Programme for the Further Implementation of Agenda 21:
Part II: 29. In order to accelerate economic growth, poverty eradication and environmental protection, particularly in developing countries, there is a need to establish macroeconomic conditions in both developed and developing countries that favour the development of instruments and structures enabling all countries, in particular developing countries, to benefit from globalization. [...] There is a need for continuing the elimination of discriminatory and protectionist practices in international trade relations, which will have the effect of improving access for the exports of developing countries.
This gives away the game; we are to restrain our own capabilities to allow developing countries to get a bigger share of the world's economic pie. It is, in short, a way to redistribute wealth by forcing us to buy more expensive products from overseas. Bill Clinton's established the President's Council on Sustainable Development by executive order in 1993 to implement U.N. Agenda 21 despite opposition from Congress. In 2009 Barack Obama created the "Federal Leadership in Environmental, Energy, and Economic Performance" to do likewise. Hillary Clinton's husband and boss both have taken strong stands to implement world economic integration via the U.N. George H.W. Bush supported the accord. His son signed Executive Order 13423 on January 24, 2007 which promised:
“Executive Order 13423 “Strengthening Federal Environmental, Energy, and Transportation Management,” signed by President Bush on January 24, 2007. The order sets goals in the areas of energy efficiency, acquisition, renewable energy, toxics reductions, recycling, renewable energy, sustainable buildings, electronics stewardship, fleets, and water conservation. In addition the order requires more widespread use of Environmental Management Systems as the framework in which to manage and continually improve these sustainable practices“.
In short, American citizens are taking a back seat to globalist ambitions by the ruling class, ambitions that ultimately seek to empower international institutions at the expense of the free market and national security. Coal and steel in Europe - coal and lead in America. As the United States surrenders her sovereignty one brick at a time the power of the international community grows, and the money that would flow into the U.S. from the growing "green technology" that we have been promised will flow to China, to India, to those who are willing to dig the lead and the coal and use it. This will do nothing to stop the overall pollution, it just means the Chinese make the money. It is a redistribution scheme on a global scale. The good people of the State of Missouri should think very carefully about all of this when they go to the polls in November. Special thanks to William Been, author of Masters of Audacity and Deceit for the head's up about this.
